I have 4 12 ft ugly sticks I bought in 95. They have been coast to coast. They are still my main bank fishing rods. All I have had to do is replace 1 eye on 2 of the rods. That was from bouncing around in the bed of a pickup truck. Love them.

@@ccol009 save your money for bait and beer. I’ve had good results with frozen chicken for channel cats in my local river. I did 7 hours yesterday and back out tomorrow Sunday is for football. My neighborhood gas station has excellent fried chicken and a good selection of craft beers. Bass Pro has a house brand rod called Whoopin Stick. They range from ultralight to medium heavy and set me back $25 each. No failure or wear after a year of regular use. My reels are Penn Battle and worth the price.
