بنیادی اصول یہ ہے کہ آپ کو ہمیشہ بائیں لین (لین 1) میں گاڑی چلانی چاہیے جب تک کہ آپ کو کسی سست گاڑی یا گاڑیوں کو اوور ٹیک کرنے کی ضرورت نہ ہو، یا جب تک کہ لین بلاک نہ ہو۔ ایک بار جب آپ اوور ٹیکنگ مکمل کر لیں، تو دائیں لین (لین 2) سے واپس بائیں لین میں جائیں۔
