This playthrough is currently the most exciting thing on TH-cam for me.
easy :D
I'd say, the current HoMM2 playthrough is a very strong contender :D !
We're quite lucky to have two games by Noro at the same time right now.
I love him agonizing over spending 4 spell points to cast Magic Arrow when he had a massive 136 left lmao
I feel like he lost a major campaign because he was unable to cast magic arrow once long ago, and it still traumatized him to this day.
sometimes I fall asleep listening to Noro's relaxing voice and then i have to try and find the last part of the video I remember when i want to continue
Same here, it can sometimes take 4-5 time to finish one of his videos
😆
Hey Novoro, thanks for the upload. I really enjoy watching your videos or listening to them in the background. Your laid back approach is great. Regarding the new hero Todd for the factory town, he reminds me of Dr. Emmett Brown from Back to the Future. I have to believe that whoever created Todd had Doc in mind. I like to imagine that he took his time machine back (or forward) in time to "the factory age" of Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Even the gunslinger unit is like Doc from Back to the Future 3.
I was thinking that too.
Thanks for the upload man. You're the only channel that I look forward for a new upload. P.S. I prefer watching combats in speed 3 but suit yourself :)
Yeah. I think higher speeds lose some of the tension and impact. Perhaps they're ok for the walkover fights, but I like to see the animation in all its glory!
It's always a pleasure when you upload
Thank the heavens! Another Noro video within a week! :)
3 speed animation plz, thanks for the upload!
I agree, this is way too fast
That upload definitely made my day.
Man your videos are so good! I'm watching MeKick's Factory playthrough but he's not actually playing it straight, he's just exploring the faction, save-scumming for science (and the occasional mistake), etc. And he's getting stupidly lucky with his heroes - pretty much perfect random skill rolls, Witch's Hut with Logistics like a two day's ride from his starting town, etc. I much prefer learning from your decision-making process when things aren't going so perfectly!
I like how Loyins shows up in almost all playthroughs, he has so many adventures to talk about
Your Heroes 3 videos bring me joy. Just so you know.
Love this series, but we also need more homm3 town guides 🙏🏼
Just commenting that I find the current animationspeed too fast, slower is better to watch. I know lots of people like fast ASAP, but your videos are much more accessible and that is also due to the slower unit movement; it is actually possible to follow. Please consider this.
Enjoying this showcase. Liking the difficulty of the guards and scarce resources. Very challenging!
I really enjoy your videos, thanks!
A new Factory episode! Here we go 😊
Good stuff brother I enjoy your content 🎉
Todd looks like he's about to kidnap you in a flying DeLorean. 😂
love your videos
Your homm3 playthroughs are such a blast to watch. Thanks for the great content dude! Do you plan on playing any community maps in the future?
Ah yes, my favorite youtuber uploaded again🎉
great series
I tried that town recently and feared it might be Overpowered but it goes very well within the whole mod. Now here i learn how to play them properly. :D
My vote is 3 speed no grid. It becomes a bit too mechanical with the speed/clutter otherwise.
Only noobs don’t use grid
No, full speed and grid
great stuff
Right on 🙌🏼
Love it thanks
Every Halfling counts! 😁
Sure, sure. Tell that to the mothers of those Armadillos ))).
Hey, I'm glad that YT algorithm decided to recommend me your channel its been great fun watching your videos or just having them in the background, only skeleton run was the one that hooked me up. Just wanted to ask are those numbers for kill count of creatures during the battle and pack size numbers for packs, lots, horde etc. are part of HD mod?
Yes
Could you help me out and tell me how to turn them on? I'm using the mod with a complete game edition
I love that you have the movement on. Some players have movement cut out and I cant stand watching
Great video asalways. Are you considering go more "chalennging" and make some series with Heroes 4 ?? Its contorversial, but its kind of a guilty pleasuer of mine, and i think it has a couple intresting mechanic that change game strategies a lot.
I remember I didn't like that game mechanically or in terms of art design of creatures but boy did they nail atmosphere and music, those town themes are heavenly
@@alexmashkin863 O yees the music is so cool. Im propably bias because this is the first HM that I owned. My favorite part was the plot of campaigns, most peple hate it since there were a lot to reqad, but it was designed pretty well, and you can really get deepinto the characters. Also that was the first time when I met with Idea of necromancer , that dont want to destroy the world instead of create , living-undead working society.
@@seriozycie9149 Oh, yeah, I hear you, campaigns were good, writing and design. But I played through and that's it, homm3 I play to this day :-)
I can't help but point out that it's not necessarily the best strategy to always take out the loan. If day 1 you have no gold, 1k of income, take out the loan and end your turn, you'll have 3k on day 2. However, if you don't take the loan until day 2, you'll have 3.5k gold. Obviously, everything evens out in the end, but truly optimizing the bank involves planning when the influx of gold is the most helpful.
Not trying to be nitpicky, I love the series!
Which is not to say that the best strategy is always "don't take out a loan unless you need to spend the gold that day". Because let's say you know you'll want to spend 2k on day 2 and 5k on day 6. In order to do that, you need to take out the loan on day 1.
It would be nice to see the worms in action
Halfling Grenadiers doing 2-3 damage is a bit high. I think 1-3 should have been fine. But they are very fragile and get targeted down by enemy shooters and spells.
Overall, Factory is pretty balanced even with two level 7 units. Halfling Grenadiers are the only unit that's really good for their level. Most of their other units are average. Mechanics do OK damage and their repair can be very useful but they're squishy, Armadillos are basically just a roadblock unit, Automatons are squishy but do pretty good damage when upgraded, Sandworms have similar stats to Rocs/Thunderbirds and upgrade's corpse eating is nice but can be hard to set up, Gunslingers are basically a squishier Cyclops and their ranged retaliation isn't that useful since no ranged units will attack them, Coutl have similar stats to Bone/Ghost Dragon, Dreadnoughts/Juggernauts are like a slower walker version of Red/Black Dragons without the magic immunity and heat stroke instead of breath.
Thing balancing Halfling Grenadiers is their high upgrade cost, didn't played Homm3 for some long time, but if i remember none of other T1 units need special/rare materials for upgrade and halflings require 2 sulfur and mercury to be upgraded, which it isn't much of issue on normal and hard difficulty, but any higher and you start questioning if it is worth it, especially when there ain't much resources or mines on map.
Also they are quite pricey to be honest, but it is also balancing factor for how good they are.
Also about bounty hunters. The ability is good, cause it force range units to take other targets or walk straight up to you, yet it ain't perfect and some units gonna walk towards you or gonna shoot you anyway.
Not to mention that theirs ability works quite well against players too. Thing is that Bounty Hunters can punch like truck, yet they are very squishy which is an amazing trap. Enemy player must think at lest twice before he gonna do something, well untill he have AoE spell then it's not much of an issue. Still, choosing between getting rid of Bunty hunter or other more threatening units is quite amusing. Cause you gonna attack with whole army, not single unit
You can hold Alt to see move points exactly, no need to guess and hope ;-)
Please do full speed animations 😄
I prefer animation speed set to lower than 4 - it looks like everyone is on meth at that speed.
Every time you said "Eanswythe" I heard "Ian's Wife".
Not first :(
Going good, HOMM3 guy!!!
More give me more!
8:50 I like to play on fast animations but I do not like watching of fast animations if that makes sense.
Love the content. A few questions not immediately obvious from heroes 3 wiki. Mighty Gorgon death stare shouldn’t affect dreadnoughts, and dreadnoughts can’t be resurrected/risen from the dead or healed/cured by spells or first aid, ditto the above for automatons. Right?
I think mechanical units can be healed or cured but not resurrected or death stared
I have a feeling your framerate is much higher than mine when playing. I use HD mod. Any other tweaks that affect framerate? Or is it just the video that is good?
33:04 sounds suspiciously like what a Tau sympathizer would say... Should we be calling the Inquisition?
You gonna do a play through of chronicals?
You know, I was thinking, just because of the issue of skills being acquired here and duds being hoped against . . . They could fix Eagle Eye and make it a useful skill if it allowed a hero to sense spells anywhere on the map. Things like Fly or Town Portal, or anything used in a battle. Maybe distance weakens the magic being "felt", but whenever a spell is used, your Eagle Eye hero has a chance of acquiring it. As it is now, it's a non-skill you would never choose. Expert Eagle Eye + Expert Scholar would then be a real combo asset.
Interesting idea, but I would prefer if Eagle Eye gave more info about dwellings/mob counts/spell shrines/other interactables within a certain range of the hero. For example, you can see that shrine is a magic arrow, which you already have. And you know that these elementals have exactly 10 storm and 40 air.
Your idea makes Scholar and Eagle Eye too similar, in my opinion.
Or have eagle eye be able to open your opponents spellbooks, with limits on what you can see based on the level: Basic only seeing the first two spell levels and no specialties, advanced seeing 3rd and 4th and showing basic element investments, and expert showing everything. Specialty would allow that hero to see how many spell points they have available outside of combat as well.
Where online can I find details of how First Aid is different in HotA? I have spent a bit of time googling, but legitimately can't find anywhere that says it.
hey, ive got a question. how do you see how far the enemy can go like here 11:56 ? Is it a mod or a normal thing in vanilla version of the game
Using the HD mod, hold down Ctrl or Shift while hovering over a unit
ITS A MOO POINT LOL
I definitely said "moot"!
Halfling Grenadiers are too good for tier 1 units. That 20% defense ignorance on shots is even better than Ancient Behemoth's 60%. I recently uploaded a video where I rekt Giants with Halfling Grenadiers and it's very easy to collect an effective powerstack of them.
This is really interesting observation! Could you please explain the higher ignore? I've been playing HoMM3 on and off for years now, and I am still learning new things.
It's not better, percentage is much less, their native attack is much less and their damage is much less than AB's :-)) It's a great early to midgame powerstack but they melt very quickly against tougher guards or enemy heroes, become way too bothersome to protect. They're good, but not unbalanced
Hey dude. Just a question. Do you have a discord and would you be open to play some games in private? I used to play A LOT. And since then I have been watching you. Your gameplay and tactics are out of this world. I would live to learn from you (if you are open to it?)
If you're looking for actual PvP then it's better to look at someone like Lexiav, he has good tutorials and uploads competitive matches daily, Alex The Magician has great tutorials although he's stopped uploading.
Noro plays PvE, never seen him upload any kind of online play
Where do you download all these maps I see you and other poeple playing?
As mentioned somewhere in the video, this a random map, created with the built in random map generator. Unless noro shares the generated map, you can’t download it ;-)
I may be misinterpreting, but it sounds like you misunderstand the "best hero" statistic. It doesn't have anything to do with the army strength, just the levels/stats of the hero, so even if you see a hero with Archangels who's not the strongest hero, it doesn't necessarily mean that they have an even scarier army.
You might just be inferring that the AI tends to give its best units to its strongest hero, so if that's the case you may ignore me. :D
I don't think that is the case. Try it yourself. Buy a new hero and give them your entire army. It will say they are your best hero in my experience. I assume it is looking at the fight value of the entire army (which is modified by hero stats).
@@KyriosHeptagrammaton So apparently the formula for strongest hero in the Thieves' Guild's is:
sqrt((1 + 0,05 * (Hero_Attack)) * (1 + 0,05 * (Hero_Defense))) * (Sum of AI Values of all troops in hero's army)
Thanks, I learned something new. And to check things before I speak!
@@IAmBael Nice! Where'd you find that? I didn't notice it on heroes.thelazy when I went looking. Also interesting it doesn't check spellpower and knowledge. That seems like an oversight.
Hello. I see you enjoy playing maps against computer AI. I heard that fHeroes2 has improved their AI significantly. maybe you can play the game on some map. it would be interesting.
My other current series Faction Wars is on Fheroes2, I'm using version 1.0.7 which is fairly new
You're using the bank wrong, you should only get the loan on the day you need the money or else you're down 500 gold the next turn when you need it.
It doesn't matter, you're just taking your income earlier 🤷🏻♂️ Only need to factor it into planning
@@alexmashkin863 yes in terms of overall gold income, but in terms of momentum if you take it the day before you need it you lose out that 500 gold you would have had available the next day.
You shouldn't use it on cool down you should only use it when you intend to use all the gold in one turn.
An example: you need 5000 gold for a city hall, you have 1000 income. If you take the bank straight away it takes 2500 + 5 days of 500 income or you could wait 3 days of 1000 income and then take the bank to purchase it 2 days earlier.
Animations are too fast I think. Please, bring them back to 3, Norovo.
I feel like you're missing the idea behind Factory's banks. They're a time sensitive boost to your treasury if necessary. Taking the loan without spending that money on a given turn can cause you to miss out on the benefits.
Like how towards the end of the video you take out 2500 gold but spend down to 7000 gold. The issue is that if next turn or later you need to spend gold, instead of having that extra 2500 you'll have 2000 or less extra gold. The idea is to give a short term boost when necessary, rather than being a loan you take out every time available
It's valid both ways, you essentially just take income money in advance, doesn't matter what you do with it.
What you're talking about is an issue of planning your expenses not loan mechanics
Am I the only one who feels like Norovo has an extreme antitalent for recognizing the genders of his heroes?
🤓
Hi! Please stick to fight animation speed lvl 3 😊
they made their stupid faction overpowered of course so people will play it
loving increased animation time. The combat that is 100% easy to see you'll win with no resourse cost aren't interesting to watch when its the same exact optimal plays each time.
about time 🤣😂
