    This is very inspiring! My husband and I started our Etsy shop last summer and made 120K first year, working out of our one bedroom apartment in LA. So excited to take your advise and to grow our business even further!

    Have you considered a membership here on TH-cam for those who aren’t ready for your main service?

    Very informative Q&A, which answered a few questions that I had regarding selling on both platforms prior to our call. Thank Dylan.

    I always wondered if Etsy would allow migrating Etsy customers to your own Shopify store.

    I would like to bounce back on your answer of raising prices. Which strategy would you have used to raise your prices gradually? I just started my Etsy shop (KomaMalamu) one week ago. And I’m selling handmade boondoggle/rexlaced pens, I spent almost 3-4 hours to make one pen. (Maybe if I make more pens the production time will decrease, or by batching the work).
    I haven’t made any sales yet. But I’ve rewatched your video “How to get your first 100 sales on Etsy”. And I’ll apply each step (even the uncomfortable ones like showing my face) to get to 100 sales.
    And I was curious about how much people are willing to pay for it. And they’re only willing to pay between €5 to €10 . I thought I could have started from €25 and go up to €35 and up to more, because I’m a student and I would like to earn something BIG out of it and ultimately grow.

      You're definitely still in the "sprinting" strategy stage of your business where I wouldn't be thinking about raising prices and pulling levers to drive profitability at this point. You need to get some good momentum going first before moving into that "marathon" strategy. There are definitely ways to improve your profit per item without raising prices (lowering labor/time, lowering cost, increasing multi-item orders, etc). There are also so many ways you can differentiate outside of price alone. Let me know if you need help!

    When calculating profit, are you subtracting the price of materials/ads, or just Etsy fees and taxes?

      @dylanjahraus  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! So profit meaning minus all fees paid to Etsy, taxes, COGS.

    Thank-you so much for making these videos, they are very helpful and inspirational. I was feeling defeated and questioning myself but, when i heard the first part of this video my hopes and motivation went up again and i won't stop until i make this work . I have been doing print on demand for about 7 months now and i'm struggling with bringing traffic into my shop not to mention making sales. Im currently doing pinterest as marketing. I need to move on to start using facebook. Do you have any strategies on how to start in facebook for someone that is new and doesn't have a bunch of facebook friends or even facebook account?

    • @dylanjahraus
      @dylanjahraus  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! The Facebook strategy actually doesn't require having a following. I do walk you through each strategy for driving your own traffic through each channel step by step if you're interested!
