Virtua Fighter might as well be the first 3D fighter to bring hapgido. So far, the only Korean martial art that's present in big name fighting games is taegwondo. Plus, another fighter that uses different variations of aikijujutsu reversals is a bonus.
Are you psychic, or do you just have superhuman reflexes? I tried to main Aoi for a while. You got off more counters in this video than I ever did in total. Although I did once get her flipkick counter to hit in VF4EVO. That was hilarious.
yo, don't even bother using your eyes.. well, use your THIRD EYE. Intuition/reading them is far more reliable than trying to see it imo. Some attacks are visible, but.. it's more about collecting data on them. For example: Usually I mostly BLOCK the first round. If I notice they always use mid-wakeup kicks, I begin grabbing them. If I grabbed them 2 times, I'm paying close attention expecting them to try a low-wakeup kick next instead... etc.
Okay I tried her and I allready hate her sundome cancel and that one 3 hit chain throw that has shitty frame I love the character but I wish the game was more friendlier to console controller s
I play on stick and was considering trying controller.. but sounds like it might be a bit rough. Even on stick, it feels overwhelming managing all those cancels and weird things she does.. but I'm sure it'll become easier with practice. I know it's a hassle, but maybe you should try remaping your buttons to make things you're having trouble with a bit easier? I've seen others talk about having success after changing the default configurations and customizing inputs to match the characters their playing.
@@IriaChannel those double corners commands move is really impossible not to miss for controller and since some moves require to circle the whole stick which has 8 directions but controllers have 360 degree it's a bit fucked up cause frame is not even helping it either
@@shadownight9956 it takes practice bruh you gotta live in lab pretty much, I play on the controller and mapped it to soul Calibur controls and it's perfect for me but it still takes practice. I don't use analog. I use D pad and I can get the inputs consistently. It's the just frame moves that I have trouble with but again it comes with practice
This is why she should have been in DOA5.
"Amai na" translates to "Naive" or Disappointment
Aoi is the queen of reversals in 3d fighting! 💜

good job. reversal opening is very small imo. not sure how im supposed to react to 1 frame..

That's the thing about grapplers and reversals they are meant for reads more so than visual timing
