it must be said that the piano on this keyboard is almost worth the price tag in itself; it really does sound fantastic. i am not exactly proficient with playing piano, but i am lucky enough to own this keyboard and hope to get better in time.
A great instrument - and another great demo from Mr. Ujiie! I owned one for several years and regret selling it. Great Yamaha AWM sounds, especially acoustic pianos (of course!) and well-thought out, hands-on functionality.
Yes, I have this synth, and you can use it as a regular MIDI controller, as an instrument in Cubase, or as a Cubase DAW-controller. I would absolutely recommend it!
Again I say , it got me thinking , because the Yamaha S90XS not as successful as other synthesizers and stage pianos ? The sound of piano factory ( Natural S6 Grand) has been " robbed or stolen " and placed in the MOTIF XF , MOXF CP1 , CP4 stage , CP5 , quite apart that has taken the function of LAN expansion and PLUG -IN slot . With all this there would be little sense in buying the S90XS , its unique advantages are : a sintetiizador with stage piano function and carries the engine sound of the MOTIF XS , which could replace practically MOXF . Honestly this beautiful piano deserved much more ...
@cocovi Because the S90XS has 128 polyphony, and the MOx will choke on the 8part voices once you start combining several of them in the performance mode :)
Can I as a small question? I have a lot of vintage gear, how would the S90XS be as a controller? I cannot find any info (videos) on this subject.. by the way Great demo!

One of the best synths ever ! though I prefer the e-pianos of Yamaha´s S80, they sound a little better to me, but the pianos of S90XS are wonderful
