Jake is that one friend that you need to watch constantly otherwise it will end in disaster. Also there’s a 30/70 chance that if he helps you with something you’ll regret asking him for help.

I mean, there's a reason why they make jokes about having to baby-proof everything around him in games.

You know, 60% of this video just reminds me of why I just support Elis and his Rage moments. Cuase they are always valid.
The funny thing is, Cath is thinking of Lucario from Pokemon but most Palworld fans think it reminds them more of Renamon from Digimon 😅
How do people think Renamon first? It's entirely Lucario based with an Egyptian theme.
Every single person I've seen play says it looks like Lucario. Never seen 1 person say it's closer to Renemon

@jaydeleon8094 yeah that was what me and my friends thought first. Also the main npc in their other game, craftopia, is Anubis. So I am 100% sure it's just a pal version of Anubis.
They might be comparing it to R34 versions.

Watching Jake repeatedly swing once at a tree and try to pick up what drops is causing me to feel a type of frustration I didn't know existed. I know I shouldn't be surprised because it's Jake but at the same time he strikes me as the type of gremlin to accidentally hold down buttons and it's wild to me that he apparently hasn't thus figured out you can keep swinging tools and weapons.

I feel that way a lot unfortunately and it’s so annoying because you can’t do anything about it other than just hope that the person you’re annoyed with figures it out on their own sometimes.
And what makes it worse is that palworld has a tutorial that literally tells you what it wants you to do in objective form and they still couldn’t figure certain things out
Like look at gta for example there is so many people nowadays that can’t even do the most basic things without having a babysitter practically play the game for them.
And it’s like why can’t people just actually play the tutorial stuff in games or play the single player before they start the online stuff.
And with people apparently struggling to learn how to read nowadays I’m surprised that people are able to get past the menus sometimes with how incapable some people are.
A little off topic with this part and a bit of a ramble but as a sonic fan seeing people react to the sonic 3 trailer while not knowing who shadow is or really knowing that much about sonic is also pretty frustrating.
Because while it doesn’t make them stupid for not knowing something it does feel like they could’ve easily learnt the basics before making an entire video about something they have practically no knowledge about.
There was even someone who is not a huge sonic fan that went to see the second sonic movie with their friend and the friend admitted after they were already in the theatre that they hadn’t seen the first one and it’s like why are you watching the second one first if you dont know that much about the franchise or the characters.
So honestly I just assume that people that play games and watch shows/movies that they have no knowledge about are either unaware of the previous games and shows/movies or they are the type of people that only consume content that is popular because they have no personality of their own and think that if they do what everyone else is doing they will get people to like them or simply get them attention or benefit them in some way and not because they like the content necessarily.
@@oOSonicexeOo I agree wholeheartedly with your first point. It's crazy to see how many kids nowadays don't even know how to properly use a keyboard and mouse or even a controller, because all they're used to are touchscreens. And barely anyone can be bothered to play or read through the tutorial in games.
As for the second half, I think you're being a bit harsh, probably because you are emotionally attached to the topic.
Let's take your example with the sonic movie. A lot, if not most, of the people watching that are familiar with the franchise. However, I think there's also plenty of people that go watch it because they think it might be fun, regardless of previous knowledge or not. Most people simply don't care that much, I think. That friend probably went to the movie not because they wanted to see the Sonic movie, but because they wanted to do a fun activity with their friend.
Maybe this analogy doesn't work, but how many Skyrim players do you think played another Elder Scrolls game before? How many actually started with Arena? Do they have to?
Or another analogy (this one really doesn't work that well, but I can't come up with anything better right now): if you were to watch a sports game, do you really need to have seen every match that team has played before?
Basically, people don't put that much importance on every piece of entertainment they consume. Everyone usually has something they are passionate about, but they're not passionate about every single thing. And quite often they are not passionate about the things that other people are passionate about.
That has nothing to do with doing things simply for popularity or because they have "no personality".
People are complex beings and I think social media makes us forget that sometimes, since we only see little facets of people and usually not even their real self.

Fair point but it is still annoying when I see people making videos about subjects they have practically knowledge on and come up with theories to questions that already have answers if they just looked stuff up.
Like I saw one person think that super shadow and silver the hedgehog are the same person.😑
But anyway the main problem really is because I’m someone that has been a sonic fan since birth pretty much and for almost 30 years at this point.
I can’t relate to the newer fans because I know almost everything about the franchise to an extent and it not even just common knowledge for me it’s literally like it’s a part of me or something like that.
But what that means is that when someone is new to not even just sonic but anything that’s been around for decades like gta as another example.
Part of me is like *oh for @#£& sakes I now have to spend the next hour or so explaining everything I know about this thing that I know a lot about*
so while yes it’s not the new persons fault for not knowing things and it doesn’t make them stupid it still annoying to deal with at times.
Especially in the context of a TH-cam video where I can’t correct the people in the video obviously.

unfortunately for the Cath getting Cathed comp, the Pals didn't actually die, they were just sent back to the Palbox. That item is how you interact with what is essentially your Pal storage, but it's also how you decide where your base is and how you send Pals to work on your base. Destroying it doesn't kill them, it just sends them back to storage

But at least their Pokémon Teams would fit them very well!
Jake would catch a team based on trains or vehicles, Ellis would get a team that have "Angry faces" to match his anger, Alex would get a team that's nothing but memes, Gabby would have her team of bees and dogs and Cath would get a team of Pokémon based on animals in Scotland and Europe like Woolos!
Jake and Alex are pretty much a dynamic duo at this point.

Still, that doesn't mean something is dead. People always come back to stuff that's good. There are so many good older games that I personally haven't played but might want to.
There are currently 26k people playing Palworld. Anyway, you also have forgotten the point that games aren't endless (MMORPG's excluded). Eventually you've done everything in a game & it's time to move on. And that's okay. That's how consuming content works. Everything has an end. Even your life.

@slimetank394 there's a whole channel dedicated to stream vods, the reason the video quality is all over the place is because its stream footage reused so you get bitrate compression which sucks
Not sure if this stream is on the vod channel though, maybe not if this was kept to extras, not sure why if that's the case though

I love this game, unfortunate thing is that on console (what i play it on) it crashes CONSTANTLY, don't even think about entering a cave. Yeah the game is still in development but with its declining popularity i fear the devs might just cancel the full version leaving a bugged unfinished version instead. Hopefully they update it and fix the issue, then I'd play it all day and all night.
go read up on what the devs are saying about their game, they literally just dropped a new xpac a short time ago and have expressed over and over that they're not here to try and force retention for the game, they want you to enjoy it and then go off and enjoy other games, they're not trying to make it into some massive cash grab, they're doing updates with love and i appreciate it. sadly, being a console pleb, lots of games don't work for y'all anyways but they work incredible on pc. i have like no issues with palworld lmao
