Best scene in TV history. I relate to that quote so much as an engineer myself "We took an idea all the way... and it COST US... it cost us people.." Thats the sacrifice required to make anything truly great. Its all too commonly measured in the people you lose along the way. Always a trade off that not everyone is capable of accepting.
Love this show! Probably my favorite TV show of all time! You have to work in the I.T. field to appreciate just how great Halt and Catch Fire really was.
I would like to politely disagree. I don't work in tech and HaCF is still my #3 all-time favorite show, just behind Rome and the GOAT Breaking Bad. And I love those shows despite the fact that I'm also not a history nerd or especially passionate about cooking meth. Because quality programming is still quality programming.
What happens when you create a product and put all the effort to make a device run smoother. You have something to pitch to potential investors. When you don’t Patent it someone makes a 10 percent change and makes a lot of money and a go f yourself. Many people where involved, we where going to build it in the USA. Now it’s offshore to make more and us little guys got shafted
