  • On a March evening in Utah in 1979, basketball was transformed forever when two future titans - one, a sharp-shooting, soft-spoken kid from small-town Indiana; the other, a gregarious, exuberant, position-defying phenom from industrial Michigan - clashed in the Finals of the NCAA tournament.

People seem to remember it as Magic and Bird going to their respective NBA teams and making them great. But Magic went to a team that already had Kareem Abdul Jabaar...how anyone could beat the Lakers once they added James Worthy is the question. That's a team that was more loaded than Boston. No one really expected McHale to be a HOF player and Parish was not anywhere near Kareem's level. It's amazing Boston got even 1 ring against the Lakers.

NCAA and NBA should still pay royalties to Bird and Magic

Bird and magic are the reason why the nba is what it is today, hands down.

@@andymaritanu7420 - I believe that was a big reason for the excitement in last year’s NBA Finals. Someone else for a change. But I think it’s just the start for those two. Especially Milwaukee. Every time there’s someone new in the Finals they tend to go to three or five in a row.

to make these videos better, show waaaaaay less of the speaker and more of the subject. after a while it's just jarring to suddenly see some dude talking to you taking up the entire screen. ugh stop that.

I appreciate the effort but they tryna make content like youtubers but sound like a tv show, its hard to connect with your audience like that

He wasn’t on the screen THAT much, like there’s tons of images and video. This is a lame complaint
