Yes I'm in the Houston area and our krogers are nothing like that, only the deli section has woohoos. But, here is what I might try. I may go as soon as the store opens because I have a feeling people are coming in early to get the deals.
Denmark here. I always pick up reduced price peppers, chop /slice them up, freeze on a tray for an hour,(no need to blanch) , then transfer to ziplock bag. Then you have ready peppers for soups /stews etc. Love your channel.
Clearance grocery hauls are my favorite! It's strawberry season here in FL, the strawberry festival just ended. $9 for 8 of those quarts you got. Jam time!
I love clearance shopping and do a quick tour through all the local stores about once a week. It's also alot less expensive and much quicker when I can do it without my kids and/or husband.
The wanton wrappers are good in muffin cups filled with BBQ chicken mixed with ranch dressing and cream cheese or Buffalo chicken mixed with blue cheese and cream cheese. Very yummy and I sprinkle cheese and breadcrumbs on top to make them crunchy.

In my country most stores mark the reduced items starting with about 15% reduction, then after 6 PM the reduction goes down to 30% and at 9 PM, to 60% on all reduced items. This has lowered the food waste almost to zero.
Our Kroger just has one little shelf area that they put clearance items. And let's say it's there for a reason. It used to have decent meat sales. Since Covid, there hasn't been any sales, coupons or clearance :(

I live just outside of metro Detroit. Food is so expensive in my area. Our grocery stores have such high volume very little food is left over to even go on clearance. I have to go shopping in the early morning or a lot of items I need will be sold out.

We are going on a trip in May and we made a goal to eat from what we got already in the kitchen and ONLY buy things like milk and produce until then. It's like 60 days. It's a fun challenge!
I did it for a month because my paychecks seemed lower than normal and pretty much got my freezer down to elk rack and ham hocks and my pantry down to soup ingredients. I think I'll do the same until we get back from our May trip too.
Love shopping grocery clearance. Some people think it’s just cause the food is about to expire. But if it’s more 50% off and you can eat before the expiration date. I say stock up. A lot of the time the store is getting rid of older inventory that’s still good for months or the branding has changed.

It's hard to find clearance items around, probably because I live in NYC, but when I do I stock up. Since I switched the Christine's way of shopping we are saving so much money. I do always scan the sales flyers and coupons though. My hubby doesn't is slow to change it but he's finally understanding that he should ask me if we have something in stock before running to the store and paying full price.
I went to a business Costco that just opened where my old Costco was! I think you would enjoy going there! It was not cheap but there were good deals on cookware and knives and even food!

It is great for bakeware, knives, kitchen supplies for regular people that do not own restaurants. I love good quality cookware, but not the prices you pay at regular stores. You can find real deals on individual pots, pans, skillets, woks, etc. They also sell food, bigger than at regular Costco.
No we're having a problem with the bag salads getting them with everything going on right now. That's why in your pictures you have those little blue on some of them that said out of stock ones were out at the warehouse
We have Mariano’s in the Chicago area which is Kroger. I always check the cat food isle, found Blue Buffalo 5.5 oz wet cat food on clearance for .83, bought every can.
Scored at the dry good clearance today.. BBQ popchips for $1.49, minions cereal for .99, some planters snack mix apparently inspired by breakfast baked goods, 1.99 for 5oz., i only took the blue berry muffin ones because it had dried blueberries and almonds.
I knew as soon as you opened that ICECREAM it was all over! I yelled “don’t do it - you’ll want the whole thing”!🤣. Those low carb wraps are awesome! We stopped buying any other brand. Our KROGER has the “ugly” produce racks and older pkgs of peppers, oranges, etc. I always buy them then “process” them within a day or so. Chopping peppers, juice fruit and saving zest and freeze 🥶 it all. I can quickly grab all my pre-prepped food and throw meals together in minutes - almost like those meals kits. Enjoy that ICECREAM 🍦!
With the carb balance tortillas, I can definitely tell they are not regular tortillas. I just get smaller tortillas now to cut some calories. I tried one of the carb balance and threw the rest in the trashcan.

I love the black jewel popcorn. It doesnt seem to bother my stomach like the yellow and some of the white popcorn. It has less hauls in it. More of a crunchy popcorn. I can only get it on amazon cause i live in a small town. I have to pay quite a bit for it.

I love dark, but hubby is white and refuse to eat bones! So we do chicken leg quarters and shred for casseroles, enchiladas, ect (hd doesn't notice then. Also I save the leg part to grill with burgers, he eat burger while I eat the chicken legs!🤣
Omg you are so lucky so many clearance items in one of my stores they actually put a limit of 5 clearance items per day ! I had frozen tv dinners on clearance I didn't know they had a limit well the bagger actually took away everything in my cart the only kroger's in my area that does that ... Besides that store I love shopping at Kroger's many great deals
I love the golden oreos! In Canada they are the original Girl Guide cookie from the 1980’s when Christie made the Girl Guide cookies we sold door to door. Fudgeo are the chocolate ones. I also love buying meat on clearance and freezing it. Meat is so so expensive in Canada, if I can pay a fraction of the retail price it’s great!

You also have to evaluate the time that you go. Later in the day, there's not going to be as many as early in the morning when they do their markdowns

I use Psyllium husk in my smoothies. I would highly recommend that because not only do you get fibre but so many other nutrients and its all natural.
Because it is black popcorn NOT from yellow corn. The white and red popcorn are also great! The kernels also pop up smaller.
