Sammy Davis Jr was trained, as were many other actors by Arvo Ojala and used one of his custom-made rigs. I think Mr. Davis did have the fastest draw, aside from Ojala and there’s footage of Mr. Davis appearing on a talk/variety show where he showcases his skills and does a timed draw. Incidentally, Arvo Ojala is the man at the end of the street who beats James Arness’s draw at the beginning of the early episodes of Gunsmoke.
@GrnXnham Nope. End of the same scene with the punk twirling his gun. The Doc takes the silver cup he's been drinking out of and starts making the same moves with it, twirling it around by the handle. It's a great put down, and everyone laughs. I don't recall any girl on girl action in the storyline.
There's a Video on TH-cam that ranks all the Hollywood fast draws by Hollywood Actors. And it was Audie Murphy that was the fastest! Bob Mundon was the fastest Pro, but now that's Jerry M.
After 40+ years in Law Enforcement I am pretty fast myself, but My Clearing Leather was with a different Colt, a 1911 and also later a G22 Glock with a 5shot Revolver Back Up Weapon !! !
Well first off they didn’t use live ammo, so you are right about that. Some actors needed editing help. Others practiced and got pretty good. Ben Cooper was one of them. Here he is in Outlaw’s Son. th-cam.com/video/iAMgkiR4Dxw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y-mhs-CdxT8vuJv7
I'm a big Western movie fan old and New films can't wait for more to come in the future
🗣The DOC copies Ringo’s every MOVE with the Silver Cup …wish they SHOWED THAT 🤠.
It always cracks me up when I see Clint use a bladed hand in these old westerns, obviously the " karate chop" was becoming popular.
Shane drawing against Jack Palance is classic!
But that wasn't the scene ?
Yes, I agree, when he’s in that bar calling him a yankee liar. One of the best scenes in cinema to me.
Shane beat them all.
Boy those sphagetti westerns were Hammy.
Those karate chops of the 1880s hurt.clint delivered with precision.🤣🤣
In real life it's Bob Munden.
Was.
Love seeing clint eastwood using a judo chop.
Sammy Davis was the best. He even practiced his signature.
Maybe, Peter Breck was pretty fast. I was pretty fast too.
Audie Murphy, Ben Cooper and Sammy Davis were probably the three fastest.
Read that Sammy Davis Jr. had the fastest real time draw. Anyone else read that? Also, Glenn Ford "sit" a horse the best.
I saw his draw on TV. He was the real deal.
Saw him in a video he was exceptional.

@@jeffmayberry6401I heard Davis gave head.
I did I’m 75 now hear that decades ago
no one id faster than the wako kid
Will Rogers riding stable is where Glenn Ford learned to ride. Sammy was lightning quick.
Always so cathartic to watch Johnny Reb get blasted
Elisha Cook Jr. He also played a gunman in The Maltese Falc on.
Well Palance beat him to the draw , but the Reb was slowly bringing up the pistol , so he had to shoot.
Bro actually defined gravity with a damn pistol 💀
A young Jack Palance.
4:58 Clint's gun not pointed anywhere near the guy he shoots. He might have hit that table though.
You skipped the cup scene??
One of Val Kilmer's best scenes in Tombstone.
You mean the one with two girls?
@GrnXnham

Why everyone asks for the cup scene?
@@puertoricancinemas9492 because its the best scene wdym
Shane my favorite movie of all time.
The forgot Gene Wilder shooting from horseback in Blazing Saddles 🤣😂🤣
Should have shown last scene from Shane
Agreed
I think expendables was added to fill time
U missed, Festus Haggin. (Gun smoke) One of the best

Ben Cooper was right there with Audie.
Have a look at the Trinity movies
“Pick it up 😈”
I don't think Clint's last shot was any where near the mark.
Jack was so 😎😎😎😎
When clint chops someone it looks like an axe
Nothing equals spaghetti western movies..
K.
They ain't close to duke or Eastwood Westerns with the exception of the good ,the bad and the ugly
@@jerrywoods4066
Eastwood in High Plains Drifter is pretty damn good. 94% rotten tomatoes.
@@oltedders that's not a spaghetti western.
@jerrywoods4066
Neither is anything John Wayne ever made. So why are comparing the two?
Why is The Expendables 3 part of this? It's not a Western
Where was it filmed?
@@RodCalidge a western is a movie that is set in the old west. So where it was filmed doesn't matter
@scotthamp384 Thought maybe if it was set in the West, it would qualify as a West ern
@@RodCalidge that's not why it's called a western
The West is older now than it's ever been, hahaha@@scotthamp384
Clint Eastwood. "Karate CHOP".
How is Rambo a Western? GMAB
WHAT ABOUT TWO OF THE FASTEST GUNS,
...THE CISCO KID AND THE LONE RANGER .😊
ME GO NOW, KEMOSABE.....OH PANCHO, OH CISCO!

🗣Stop talking while TRYING to fast draw your pistol 🔫. 💥….🙀
Man john Wayne has a fast draw
Looks like he already had his hand on the pistol when he drew.
@@petersearls4443 same with the Mexican how well he shoot then
what is Stalone doing here? 💀
He got red dead revler geanreal diego load screen in the beginnin
4:34 why does that dude have half a beard?
Sergio Leone’s westerns are superior
expandables isnt a western.
Steve McQueen.
5:59 isn't a western 😐
Movie shooting is not to be compared to real shooting, sleight of hand and special effects, it cannot compete real speed
That’s an amazing insight.
