Say goodbye to slow Excel files! In this video I'll show you a new feature in Excel for the web to optimize your Excel spreadsheet: Check Performance. It looks for unnecessary formatting, metadata and styles that might be cluttering up your large workbook. It provides suggestions for each sheet and you can choose to optimize. This can reduce the size of your file by a huge amount and turn your slow workbooks into super fast loading files.

    I do this manually..
just select all rows and columns except the data part and ‘right click and delete’.
This removes all formatting and reduces size drastically.
Nice to see this as feature. Waiting eagerly to try it..

i love how every video on this topic is like "and we'll show you how to fix it! all you need is a M365 account because there's this new feature.." we're in 2023 and i guess that makes office 2021 completely obsolete?

Question, if I'm using the Excel DT App, can I do this there or do I need to upload it to the web version, Optimize, and then save back to local copy for DT App to use?

Mam, if a cell contains number of words vertically in excel then how to split it in separate cells in multiple rows?
    Please reply

    • @c17nav
      @c17nav ปีที่แล้ว

Usa a combination of Excel and Word:
For the cell with the text you want to split, use the formula bar to select and copy the data.
      Switch to Word.
      Paste the contents into Word.
Manipulate the contents into as many lines as there will be cells necessary for the Excel spreadsheet.
      Copy the manipulated Word data.
      Switch to Excel.
Paste the data in the appropriate destination/cells. Note that if there were cells with data below the original cell, those cells' data will be overwritten with the pasted data.

Maybe the feature is not available yet in the Greek version of Excel online, as there is nothing between "Workbook Statistics" and "Check Accessibility" tabs under the "Review" pull down menu. I hope Microsoft includes it in a future update, as it can be life saving.

Press Ctrl End in each sheet.. you’ll find you have probably formatted a few million cells that are never looked at.
