I consider myself a very experienced Reefer and don't really need this advice. Although, at times I do learn new things, but I love the conversation yall have. Very natural. Which is why I tune in to these anyways. Great job gentlemen 👌🏻💯✌🏻

Thank you for making this video! I bought Pro Clear tank because of this series and it gets delivered tomorrow, but the auto topoff was my main concern because i need to be able to go away for 5-7 days and not worry about my auto top off running out.

I originally started with that five gallon bucket which topped off the built in 3gal reservoir using a cheap Ato light level system. I was changing that bucket about every 5 days. I upgraded and purchased an Innovative Marine 15gal ATO tank and a reef prism Ato. Now I have 15 gallon refilling the 3gal and have to add more water about once every 7-9 days if that.

Great work Jimmy! I think I need an ato on my small 12g Reef Casa tank, I currently have a plastic cup with a pin hole in the bottom that I half fill about 2x per day and that keeps my levels in the 34.5-35.5 salinity range, I heavy feed tho so I am changing my filter pad daily because as it blocks the tanks levels offset and an ato would think it needs more fresh water than it does, so I’m a bit sceptical to add a couple hundred (aud) dollar ato system if it’s going to give me other issues 😬

You could also hook it up to the 2gallon reservoir and have the 5 gallon fill that up so you’ll have a total of 7 gals of Ro

Now he needs another tunze top off to fill his reservoir

How long does the 5 gallon jug last before you need to refill it?

I’ve had it running for 5 days. It’s ready to switch out today. So I guess the answer is every 5-6 days. This based on using it for 1 week ;)

I’ve been looking at a tunze Ato as well, I went with Neptune atk v2, any experience mr saltwater on that ato?

You could technically run your water from your TUNZE pump into the two gallon top off that came with the Red Sea and have seven gallons. Leave everything where it is but just move the output from the sump itself and move it to the two gallon top off......now you have seven gallons.

This is exactly what I thought and also what I plan on doing. The only downside I could think of is you are now relying on the float valve to do its job plus the electronic eye.
