I don’t know how the actress playing Irma went into acting with that irritating voice😱

The automated subtitles were faultless except when Irma was talking and then it didn't have a clue!

Wasn’t Minnie’s mother called Amy Carlton? Surely that’s why her name’s Minnie Carlton Caldwell-she’d have started as Minnie Carlton, then married Armistead Caldwell.

I wondered about that, too. Continuity error, it seems.

Minnie is really kind of an idiot about most things! I never saw it until now, well never saw what trouble it could cause until this GI Joe plot. The way she tried to drop Irma in it, Minnie's little fit about not willing to hear anything bad about Joe (A stranger compared with Irma) could've gotten Irma killed! I mean Minnie didn't understand all the implications of her tattle taling to Joe before she could even hear Irma out. Yikes!

Irma not telling anyone could've got her killed.

Irma had multiple opportunities to divulge about Joe, and get help. Minnie was a sweet but dotty old woman not too sharp on the uptake. Though yes, I agree she shouldn't have said anything in front of Joe of the conversation she and Irma had been having when he entered.

Unfortunately I didnt get to see the dramatic conclusion to Joe's life so I cpuld be missing a big part of his storyline or what happened to Mrs. Klegg that made her all stroppy with her American soldier. Or how totally oblivious she was to Irma's obvious revulsion toward Joe and her palpable fear of him. It was like the American soldiers noticed Irma's unsettled
state long before Mrs.Klegg did. It was like Mrs. I left was completely concerned about herself and her relationship to her American. She has always been a bit of a 2 faced cow. Didnt she hire the Chuck that wad trying so hard to come between Elsie and her 3rd husband. Not only that but Klegg seemed like ahe was even trying to cover for the nasty little wannabe homewrecking slag! Nasty woman all around. Imho.

American military being 'geneorous to the natives' sounds a bit warped, even if it is only about giving pies to Northerners.

There was an ITV Colour Strike that resulted in many episode in late 1970 and early 1971 being filmed in b&w.

Yanks being condescending to the Brits again thinking the country was still on rations. The US could never have survived they way the UK did during WW II, the full period of it and not the last half of it.....
