I would love to share a part of an interview (in mandarin) Ding gave after winning the 2023 WCC In the final classical game, Ding had a worse position and had to at all costs hold a draw. Ding recalls that a quote came to his mind during the game: ‘Who speaks of conquering, to endure is everything!’ (哪有甚麼勝利可言,挺住就是一切) [quote by Rainer Maria Rilke] Really inspiring by Ding and I definitely find some similarities with games 7 and 8! (Esp. game 7) Somehow I couldn't link it, but it's on bilibili and the interview was by CCTV. Wonderful coverage so far Agad!!! You have been doing this a very long time and your World Championship analysis has always talked about unique lines. I don't know why people would get upset over that now. It's literally what Classical is all about especially the World Championship and it's great! Looks like Gukesh can consistantly outperform Ding in the opening/middle games but in crucial moments he makes mistakes which gives Ding opportunities to equalize the game. Kudos for Ding as well for defending the position until the end.
I feel like it's only a matter of time before Gukesh caught up with Ding's games and start obliterating him. Ding is pretty much always on the defensive even with the white pieces 😭
Please keep exploring as many lines as you want. This is the world championship after all. thanks a lot for the analysis btw: even if others content creators upload faster I always wait to see it first hand with your analysis, so keep doing you man!
It's crazy how people are criticizing both ding and gukesh for not playing the absolute best move or capitalising on advantage, the thing is - they are humans after and all they don't have a eval bar with them , and a draw can be a best result in a classical game . One thing I say about both - gukesh is not confident enough, and ding is not pushing, he wants to get to tie breaks .
Please don't apologise for exploring all these lines - what Fischer called "unheard melodies". This is what makes Chess fascinating and justifies the use of the phrase 'deep' moves. If people only want to see the moves laid out for them, there are plenty of sources available for that. It's very interesting to see w h y the Rook belongs on that square and also why it needs to be moved at t h i s moment. Thanks for the thought and care that you put into these videos.

I really like and appreciate the analysis and potential moves from the host, my thing was it seemed like its was just a few too many potential future moves at times. Great channel!
I will come back to see all these amazing recaps after World Championship is over and Gukesh is WC currently can't watch them without any bias it sucks.
@17:49, why did gukesh not play NC5 x d3, Qd2 is the only move or B x b5 but he would lose his queen too and the bishop can be recaptured, and he can move the knight back to c5, gaining a pawn, something I have missed surely?
Ding is pushing for a draw in a clearly better position, while Gukesh keeps fighting on - this is absolute chaos! It’s hard to believe a world champion would let a winning opportunity slip like this. I get that Ding might be aiming for tiebreaks, but this feels so out of character and almost heartbreaking to watch. Where’s the fire, the killer instinct we expect from a champion?
Show as many as lines you consider that would make a significant difference in the results. Your videos are good but I recommend having a evaluation bar as well.
The Four Knights is pretty much the only option with the English? What about the Botvinnik setup? Simon Williams wrote a whole book around that repertoire. Also with the idea fianchettoing the bishop early on g3 an entire book by Tony Kosten called The Dynamic English.
The structure resultant after f6 reminds me Kirillov vs Botvinnik, 1948, with the black pawn at c6 instead of being at c5. Botvinnik with the black pieces won that game brilliantly
At a certain point too many lines can be explored in that it induces fatigue and begins to detract from the game analysis and learning experience as a whole. But as it is the World Chess Championship, tolerance can be expanded.
It's very strange that in two games when Gukesh was inferior he declined 3 fold repeatation draw. Both games finally ended in draws, but such risks are not to be taken at this level.
I love it. Gukesh is playing to win. Pre engine type of play. He believes he's better and not scared to lose. Good for him. I'm kinda thinking he wins this match. But it's very even so far. Ding may have something prepared that's he's saving
I was wondering if subconsciously Gukesh is trying to have his own Rg6 moment of glory like Ding did last year in his last game vs. Nepo. I very much believe his explanation from the press conference of “if there’s no risk, why not try?” but maybe deep down its different. It’s also been clear that when he’s tried to play on, Ding has had the resilience to play to a draw anyway. It’s an interesting dynamic to watch for in the rest of the match.
Gukesh is playing more aggressively than previous gen players.... he is taking more risks to go for victory..... obviously he is making many inaccuracies due to this..... that's why this match has been more exciting due to him taking more risks.... past players mostly played for boring draws by playing perfect chess without taking any risk..... atleast gukesh is playing like tal or alcaraz in tennis by playing more aggressively and taking risks to claim victory..... we need this kind of attitude to make chess exciting....
His strategy may be to tire out Ding with prolonged games. We know Ding has had personal issues which Gukesh's team may have planned to probe and possibly find a chink...
I am here (and probably everyone) to see different lines without bias, exaggeration and overaction... Please do how you would usually do... I tried other channels but this and Magnus on TTT are the only ones I currently follow for WCC games...
Ding might lose his title but his defence in this series, particularly this game, has been out of this world! Against those two pass pawns and so short on time... it's just unbelievable!
Agad, I like the lines you explore. You have an excellent feel for the game. Please trust your judgment and continue your excellent coverage of these chess events. And, like Paul Morphy, dismiss your critics as unworthy. If they think they can do better, be my guest! Do it! I dare you!!
I love your new intro, however I wish it was right at the beginning of the video instead of immediately after “Hello everyone!”. The snap between the two is a little jarring. Love the content as always! Keep it up!
It's a good idea with just showing the moves at the end of the video. The videos can be quite long sometimes. So combining a full analysis and ending it with a quick recap is a great idea if the video gets to long especially for those who just want to see a short recap.
I just want to see someone win. I love the deep analysis btw. I mean, why do people watch your channel. This is not soccer where you watch just for the fun of it.( for all those who don't want the analysis)

Will you please cover the game between nihal vs sreehari.
It was a crazy tactical match.
Quatar masters round 2.board no. 3.
I am here (and probably everyone) to see different lines without bias, exaggeration and overaction... Please do how you would usually do...
I tried other channels but this and Magnus on TTT are the only ones I currently follow for WCC games...
anish live has been excellent
Ding might lose his title but his defence in this series, particularly this game, has been out of this world!
Against those two pass pawns and so short on time... it's just unbelievable!
I love how you rock and roll Agadmator 🔥🤘🏽
Always first cab off my rank Agad
Your presentation is just the way i like it
Next after you i go to hear magnus and Levy
Then Hikaru
I do appreciate you showing what was played on the board in the end. But of course we came for the analysis
we are very intreseted in the hand shake component as it shows the mental battle of eye contact
We love long videos with many lines, keep doing it!!!
More lines and deeper analysis please!
In the world of 100 ELO can judge world champion and contender based on screen eval bar, Agadmator content is refreshing.
From "Sorry about that" to "sorry my phone was listening to me" We love the analysis
Much love to you brother from across the pond...
One question I've been meaning to ask you for some time: What if my uncle is a grand master? 🤔
Keep it up!
Excelente analysis 🎉😊
It's a good idea with just showing the moves at the end of the video. The videos can be quite long sometimes. So combining a full analysis and ending it with a quick recap is a great idea if the video gets to long especially for those who just want to see a short recap.
Man❤❤❤, that intro gets me everytime, ))))😂
21:47 "There is a bishop there, I am talking nonsense." 🤣
Great video!
Show all the lines it is extremely interesting
Nah, we love all the lines, that after all, is chess. If someone wants just the moves they can download or view a pgn. Keep being awsome!
I just want to see someone win. I love the deep analysis btw. I mean, why do people watch your channel. This is not soccer where you watch just for the fun of it.( for all those who don't want the analysis)
What a beautiful game by Ding and Gukesh!
