Just got my Adriatic JH this summer. Hoping for great things. Loving the hat. Go Beavs!

Your fig collection is amazing. I’m just a beginner at this point. Got myself 10 varieties already. Thanks for the info.

Great variety, it's one of my favorites, a good Adriatic JH can rub shoulders with Cold DD Blanc. Good video , Thank you

I wonder if the skin would be thinner if you let them rippen more?

Probably, but it’s always a balance between ripe enough and spoiled for me

Mine is a first year and its in the ground. It grew 8ft so far but no figs. Im in SE PA zone 7a. Do you think it will produce next year?

AJH is not the best producer imo. It is a little later than some other adriatics and can split. When it is ripe it can taste very good though. It will be hard to get a lot of ripe figs in ground due to its lateness. If space is at a premium I would pull it and replant an early variety. A potted AJH can be given a head start in a greenhouse to get it to fruit

Generally speaking I think they are. This year I thought my best tasting was cdd noir but in past years Adriatic JH was a better taste. There are a lot of factors that affect taste and fruit quality from year to year
