HOP Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1st: When a Pokemon faints, it's dead and goes into the box forever
2nd: Can only catch the first LEON encounter from each Route/Wild Area
3rd: No items in battle but held items are okay
4th: Set battle mode
5th: No leveling past the level of the gym leader's ace pokemon until the start of the battle.
6th: Only Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace are allowed to dynamax

Actually Andrew, Hop didn't lose to the grunt. He says "Think I'll leave this to you." He says that because he lost his motivation to battle when he lost to Bede.

I actually liked Hop and one of my favorite things about him, is how random his team was. He had a Heatmor which I have never seen anyone use
I love how he cuts the moments when Calem shoots his arrokudas and pikachus into the foes faces with no audio

Hop's team can't be that bad, Cinderace, Corviknight and Cramorant were my main playthrough team and I did my own playthrough of Sword with a single Dubwool (final moves were: Cotton Guard + Body Press + Swords Dance + Body Slam) and it surprised me how easily I could just straight up murder any Pokémon.
Hop is just a bad trainer.

You should call it a hoplock
At least hop gets a legendery which aside from N hes the only not main antagonist that gets a legendery(plus hop gets too keep it)
Hop getting Zacian/Zamazenta pisses me off. He doesn't deserve a Legendary.

After watching all the nuzlockes you did in Sword and Shield, I'm seriously considering buying the games, but which one? both versions seem fun to play! Great job on this nuzlocke, as always. Hope you do another one with these games.
I personally prefer Shield. Since most people have Sword, it's easier to find others to do trades for exclusives

Hop's starter is the only one that he dynamaxes. His gigantamax corviknight: " am I a joke to you?"

The fact that we’re actually able to do this is astonishing considering that Hop is literally the worse than a route 1 trainer and has dumber AI than one
name theme is Rivals, companions, etc. in case your wondering.
As shit as Hop is at fighting, he’s still the best rival in terms of story cause he at least gets an arc. That’s more than you can say for most of the popular rivals.
And obliously the nickname theme is the the rivals from others region.
If there's one thing that we can all agree on is BODYPRESS GO BRRRRRR.

If you can bait out Hop’s starter in the earlier in the Players Cup match, and take it out, instead, he’ll Dynamax his last Pokémon, usually Corviknight. I believe it happened for me when he had Inteleon use either Ice Beam or Dark Pulse. If you invite him to take place in the tournament after becoming champion, but before any of the postgame and DLC stuff, I believe that his Corviknight can G-max, and he’ll choose to do this over his starter, if I remember correctly. It’s honestly been a while since I’ve replayed theses games.
