I love that you show the same excitement, whether you're in Poundland or Fortnums. I think a lot of creators use poundland as the butt of the joke, and sometimes people are shamed for shopping in Poundland. But you really show that it's ok to find enjoyment no matter what your budget is. You are such a refreshing creator
After a nde last year I have started from scratched now I am living back on my own and I have a Christmas tree , some gold decorations and a string of fairy lights which were donated as I need home decor and stuff more than I need decorations and with the whole over consumption thing I am just so stumped and to come out of hospital last year I was happy to be alive , I just want a peaceful life and better health and hugs for Christmas and new year. People can buy what they want of course but a lot of it with Christmas is madness ( Christmas loo roll , kitchen roll , washing up brushes/ sponges , tea towels ) … I might get bits online from Poundland as that’s where I go but unable to get out and I might just buy a few table top things for my bedroom where I am just I am just in bed I do love the videos and how the other half live . Trouble is lots of people are stuff, ing and all the Xmas stuff like advent calendars and kids will be happy with one for a couple of £ and they do not need Christmas Eve boxes and whatever else is on social media with the perfect family and aesthetic . People changing decor every year , bonkers
All the hustle and bustle of the season while sitting comfortably at home. Hannah, your genius lies in making us 'feel' as if we're shopping with our best friend yet not spending a dime (pound???). Nothing but Fun!!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again...this is the best channel on TH-cam! Nearly every clip shows my favourite parts of West London and the shop visits are so enjoyable. Well done, Hannah!
Fabulous vlog great to see the contrast. Fortnums at Christmas looks amazing a few years ago we treated ourselves to a hamper instead of buying each other Christmas presents- it was fabulous 😊
Oh how I look forward to Hannah taking us around London to see all the stores decked out with all things Christmas….and walking around looking at all the lights and store windows…..thank you so much Hannah……hailing from Martha’s Vineyard Island, 7 miles in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Massachusetts
Your Poundland store reminds me of our Dollar Tree in the USA, except things are now $1.25+ 😂. I live in central NC, USA and love your channel. Sometimes you make me laugh out loud. I love anything London. So beautiful during the holidays. If I were your age I would certainly visit, if I could afford a hotel room! Can’t wait for more videos. 💕💕💕
The prices in Fortnum and Masons are outrageous! 😮 It's obviously a place to browse but not buy anything only Royalty or rock stars can afford those prices !! Good old Poundland always puts a smile on my face with there fabulous bargains 😀 .
“Make sure you’re watching it in Crispy View,” after which, the smile never left my face. This was a wonderful beginning for Christmas 2024, filled with visuals and comments that only you can give. So many highlights, but my favorite was your disbelief at seeing the £1000 crackers. “Are you ok?” and “You might need therapy” were hilarious comments. You are the gift that keeps on giving. Thanks, Hannah!
Wow, the contrast of those 2 shopping experiences ! Poundland had some good stuff but as soon as you get to F&M you see quality & class. I suppose you can build up a collection of the fab ornaments year by year. What surprises me is the crowds in F&M. There are still people with money to spend at a posh shop. Thank you.
Great video, loved it! I am really impressed each year with Poundland empty rigid card gift boxes. They're great for posting presents in and have fab designs. The £1 gingerbread men box is fab.
Yippy...Christmas vlog time. I visited F & M. Ordered online for delivery to the US and received items within a few days!!! Thanks Hannah for braving the crowds for us.
I love it how you’re so eloquent and every now and again a bit of something more ‘colloquial’ comes out. ‘Oh, look at that, oh, it’s a bit on the piss that one’. So funny.
Lovely to see you on a Tuesday again, Hannah. And congratulations on 250K subscribers! Looking forward to December now, always enjoy spending time in your company.🥰
Our Poudland in the states is the Dollar Tree and they have all the holiday decorations from the 80s so I started off with Halloween; myy house totally looked like my Grandma Margrets house in the 80s, can't wait to go back for Christmas decorations! Some of the best memories were the holidays in the 80s at my relatives houses😀❤️
Yayyyyyyy a second video in the same week! U are spoiling us! Also the video started on Spanish audio, that voice sounds quite funny with ur face ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love the Fortnum & Mason store. I just received a large gift basket from them. I hate their chocolate caramel truffles, hate the fruit cake but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Lemon Curd, Tea's and the Strawberry Preserves. Pistachio biscuits and Lemon Curd biscuits are fine. The Sea Salt crackers ok. The Lemon Curd I would never get tired of, it is heavenly!🍋
Just another great video, I just don’t know why a tv station hasn’t picked you up! A natural and funny as well. Your camera work and commentary makes me giggle👍🥰Sue R.
To be fair, I think that it's more likely that the poor have been more affected by the current financial crisis and can't afford even Poundland, whereas, it's business as usual for the wealthy.
If you go to Poundland's in other parts of London you will find them packed. Also depends on time of day. Plus it is only the rich that can afford to go out and buy the stuff these days.
Hannah, your videos give curious people like myself a way to see what items you dont see from the other side of the world. Happy (early) holidays everyone and stay warm, have a good week.
I absolutely loved this video! You really captured the Fortnum & Mason experience. You kept apologizing for the length of the video but I was riveted by all the beautiful and posh items. So much fun! As an American who can’t visit in person rn, I am so appreciative!! Thank you for the Christmas cheer! 🎄 Beautifully done! 💫
F&M is just amazing. The time they spend working with their vendors to plan out products for all the seasons and holidays throughout the year. It's never the same each time you go in there. Thanks for taking us through the Xmas displays. Wish you could take us backstage at F&M to see how they do this.
Great vlog . You really captured the Xmas shopping vibe in Fortnum and Mason .. nice to have a couple of luxuries at Xmas and great for visitors to buy souvenirs, but the prices are really crazy . Pound Land might not have the luxury shopping experience but have some great buys and I’m guessing their customers have just as good a time on Xmas day !
I just bought some lovely battery string lights - a row of miniature glass storage jars with tiny Christmas trees and loose snow inside, £3 from Poundland!😁 I'm happy! F&M though...what a treat to see, but your comment about £1000 crackers and therapy made hoot out loud! But Thanks Hannah!
Great to see the contrast between the bottom and top shops. But, certainly some very nice items in F&M. Congratulations on 250k subscribers; great achievement and thoroughly well deserved.
I could never justify a 25£ ornament ($44 CAD for me 😱), but that mini Afternoon Tea set ornament was adorable! Thanks for showing us around Hannah, im bedbound from Long Covid and can’t travel anymore, it feels like im shopping with you ❤
Hannah that was so much fun, thank you. The juxtaposition of the two shopping options. Fortnum and mason was stunning but I was more impressed with the Christmas one can put together from the pound shop.
Delightful video Hannah! I love everything you show even if they are repeats because they never get old. Now, what are my favorites? Pound Land: "The Snowman" pocket tissues because The Snowman is one of the sweetest Christmas cartoons ever and I usually tear up so the tissues would come in handy! At F&M: the afternoon tea ornament. They will deliver that one to the US but the postage is almost as much as the ornament itself - $28! Looking forward to seeing the Christmas lights next! Thanks so much.
I guess it depends on how much is in your pocket when you shop. 🥰🥰 🎄 if the $1.00 tastes as good as the $1,000 I’m in the less is my success. Happy Thanksgiving for those who celebrate it.
For the Americans out there F&M has a colab with Target this year. There are musical biscuit tins that light up and some London themed boxed treats. Double decker bus, Royal guard and stuff like that. They are very nice quality and not too expensive.
Living in Australia we don't have either Poundland or Fortnums but if I lived there I would hav a ball shopping at Poundland for all the bargains 🎉 Then I'd head to Fortnums just for the lovely expe 22:24 rience! I doubt very much if I'd buy anything as the prices ($130 pounds for a tea advent calendar??) are outrageous !!! Just love you and your vlogs Hannah 💕 Sending hugs and cheers from Oz🦘
Poundland depending on location are great for so many things. I don't know about the frozen food however. Made a few notes :) F&M makes the best displays there are expensive things but some of it is actually reasonable for the quality as well as price. If you are group gift buying even some of the more expensive is doable. Thanks Hannah a well earned cuppa after that ;)
So beautiful, so classy and so charming!! Love your videos!! What a great surprise to have a Tuesday video, but just know, we know you work full time and if it gets to be too much, we'll understand if you drop back to only Friday videos. Don't want you to get burned out and be stressed! Happy Holidays Hannah!! ❤
There is the pause button, I quite often watch your videos when I'm on a lunch break at work, and if there too long I pause and finish it off when I get home. Love watching them.
Candy cane spoons for a super yummy hot chocolate!! Poundland was impressive! But I’m a F&M girl for sure! Almond Mince Pies?? YES PLEASE! Those cards you bought were so pretty. And sure, 2 decorations would cost me $100 CDN, plus airfare and hotel, but it would totally be WORTH IT!
I totally howled with laughter when you were trying to get through the crowd - coat view was so funny. But it is exhausting for sure. Thanks so much for doing this for us!!!
Well done Hannah.... my Grandaughter & I will be watching this video at the weekend, can't wait! Then we'll head to £land, quoting you all the way!! Will enjoy watching the F&M shop, but won't be coming to London, and don't need to, as you give us the experience!
The window displays remind me of when I was a little kid back in the '60s. My parents would take the family to downtown Toronto to the Eaton's Department Store. It was a block long and had large windows the whole block. Each window was decorated with Christmas stuff, both stationary and moving, including a few trains. The sidewalk was packed with people the whole block. Little kids were on Dad's shoulders so they could see. It was always cold and you were covered in snow. When we finished looking at the windows, we went up to the 6th floor of Eaton's Department Store, which was a high-class Restaurant (the whole floor). You had to dress up and have a reservation. The elevators had the operator in uniform. Those were the good old days. My favorite Christmas Pudding was the Marks & Spencer's. I don't think it is available in Canada anymore.
Those windows are one of my first memories in Canada. We had arrived in Halifax Pier 21 Nov 4th in 1965, took 2 days by train to get to Toronto. My dad parked in FRONT off Union Station while he came in to get us. We never could afford eating at the downtown restaurant, but remember going to the Eaton's buffet at Yorkdale when I was in my late 20's.
@@ilmaba1756 My parents would do the same thing. It was an event to go look at the Christmas windows in Toronto. So many intricate, little, mechanical, miniature storybook windows!. I'm not as impressed w/the Fortum & Mason Christmas windows.
I do love your videos. You are so delightful in them and have such a personable manner. Really enjoyed the tour around both shops and your colourful narrative (except for the 'OMG's and 'jeez' bombs) brought everything to life. Great music choices and editing, too! The difference between Poundland and Fortnum's is that Poundland isn't pretentious about the tat it sells. Neither do they wildly overprice it. You were right in the first half: Poundland for the win! It 's deeply worrying, though, how commercialised Christmas has become. There was barely a nativity scene in either store. Over the past few decades, it has become blatantly obvious to me that - although these companies are happy to make a buck off the back of Jesus' birthday - they'd rather go broke than acknowledge him as the reason for the season.
Another delightful wander through the exclusive Fortnum and Mason and Poundland the more affordable store in London with Hannah, always look forward to a wonderful fun time in each video, nobody does it better.
Hi Hannah, Came home from a long and very busy day at work today and was kinda wiped out. But clicking onto TH-cam and seeing a video from you was so nice and comforting. Thank you! Was so fun to see the Christmas season beginning and definitely gave my spirits an uplifting. Thank you so much Hannah! Was such a genuine surprise to see today’s video!
Loved seeing the comparison between Pounland and F & M. So many great things at poundland - I would buy so many things there for sure. The things at Fortum and Mason's are beautiful and I would splurge for a few things. Thank you for putting all the work in for a second video Hannah. See you Friday!
Hey Hannah, Happy Tuesday! I loved your new vlog-it’s always exciting when you post twice a week.🤗 Thanks so much! Have a great Tuesday night, and see you on Friday😀🎄💐🇬🇧❤🇺🇸💐
So excited.. A Hannah vlog again!!... blimey Hannah your vlogs are suddenly getting around! Now at 250K!! Congratulations 🎉. It doesn't seem long ago we Congratulated you for 200K.. I remember 100K.. and 50K... at this rate by the end of next year you will be at 500K! Ps.the hand blown glass tree ornaments you get on Germany at the Christmas markets cost that much and upwards. I buy one new one each year. The handmade wood Erzgebirge tree decor also have those prices.
The two extremes in the shopping world. Fortnum and mason for me😊It might be expensive but it's got atmosphere, luxury and choice. It's so uplifting. Poundland has it's purpose but it's junk and a depressing place in our town. I know where I would rather shop. Great video
It's Tuesday and time for Hannah and more exciting Christmas shopping in London at Poundland and Fortnum & Mason. This is going to be awesome as always shopping with you again have a great week and Thank You Lady Hannah.🎄🦃🎄🇬🇧
Hannah, I love it whenever you talk about the " bougie stuff and bits and especially " beige meat!" We have no idea what that is in the state and you just crack me up. I can't wait for you to do Harrod's. Because I am here in Maryland saying " oh Hannah get this or that or this looks great!" Hannah, you can tell I am into it. 😆
Yes, I've seen candy cane spoons in the dollar stores (Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree) in the USA. Love your videos Hannah! Happy Christmas.
Thank you for taking us back to F&M. I had a very good time in this store in March. I pause everything I am doing to watch your blogs because they never disappoint.
If your feeling cold this might warm you up,Thursday is going to be 33,and Friday is going to be 38/ 39 for Friday and its the end of spring down here in Perth, Australia. With £ land you can nuts with your budget, but with fortnum and manson you will be watching every penny.☀️👋💕🇦🇺
I just love Fortnum and Mason. It is my favorite store in london. I think that it's definitely worth the price for the quality. I found tea crackers for Christmas instead of the ones that have throw away stuff in them . Thanks for the great video!❤

Apparently people still have loads of money to spend when the most expensive warehouse in London is packed and the Poundstore is almost deserted 😵💫

Another delightful wander through the exclusive Fortnum and Mason and Poundland the more affordable store in London with Hannah, always look forward to a wonderful fun time in each video, nobody does it better.
Hi Hannah,
Came home from a long and very busy day at work today and was kinda wiped out.
Sending anyone reading this all my love and a big ole hug 🥰💜🎣❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
J’aime bien vos idées et commentaires dans les vidéos. Love to see London your way.
Merry Christmas
Hey Hannah, Happy Tuesday! I loved your new vlog-it’s always exciting when you post twice a week.🤗 Thanks so much! Have a great Tuesday night, and see you on Friday😀🎄💐🇬🇧❤🇺🇸💐
These are my favorite videos of the entire year!
Thanks for the Tour of both Stores, But I definitely don't think I would fit in at Fortnum & Masons. x
You can either be observant or distracted, only Hannah Ricketts can be both
So excited..
Hope you and family have a great merry christmas and new years Lady Hannah and friends around the world.
This is going to be awesome
as always shopping with you again have a great week and Thank You
Lady Hannah.🎄🦃🎄🇬🇧
I am amazed at all the creative Christmas tree ornaments that you have year after year! Thank you for sharing.

Hi Hannah,
Yes, we all got excited today..loved it!!😊
Hannah,
I love it whenever you talk about the " bougie stuff and bits and especially " beige meat!" We have no idea what that is in the state and you just crack me up. I can't wait for you to do Harrod's. Because I am here in Maryland saying " oh Hannah get this or that or this looks great!" Hannah, you can tell I am into it. 😆
Thank you, Hannah, for doing this vlog🎉,I really love the pink christmas tins in F&M,you make christmas exciting x
Absolutely lovely video Hannah! Thank you so much. It’s so exciting to watch every year.❤️😊🙏 Appreciate you and all the hard work you do stay safe!
HOORAY 2nd vid, I LOVE it 🥰 shout out my dear Hannah for your discipline and dedication 💪🏽👏🏾
I would frame that F&M wrap paper! 😅
I just posted the same comment. It's too good to be crinkled and thrown away after the holidays :-)
@@MakeUpWitchliterally a work of art! ❤
Hey Hannah!!..Back to two vlogs a week!!..So happy , you do an amazing job!..
This video was not too long! I loved seeing all the beautiful decorations! Happy Holidays everyone!!!
I just love Fortnum and Mason. It is my favorite store in london. I think that it's definitely worth the price for the quality. I found tea crackers for Christmas instead of the ones that have throw away stuff in them . Thanks for the great video!❤
