This was such an enriching conversation. Absolutely need a part 2. Please include aspects such as school, the influence of grandparents watching over your kids when their approach differs from yours etc

      Karibu sana.
Try first 30 minutes of their day with them then work(if you don’t have meetings in the morning)
•They can go have some sunshine or outdoor time for 2 hours
•snack time you can chip in then nap/ or some play for them (work at this time)
      •Play/ read to them
      •Lunch
      •Nap
      •play
      •Bonding activity then dinner
You can opt to play with them when you can or just bond with them whenever you get pockets of time and just let the nanny take them out when you’re busy.

Hae this is such an educative conversation .personally I have learnt alot continuation please...
Am a nanny working outside kenya,am babysitting 2.5year old girl. According to my research she as signs of Autism , The parents tend to ignore all the signs it will be safe to say they are in denial.the child as speech delay ,very bad tantrums ,she loves been alone she doesn't pl ay with other kids ,she is obsessed to one toy she loses focus very easily she cant stay in a place for more 10min. As a nanny its so chalkenging because the oarent think I dont want to interact with the child(play) yet every time I try to engage the child doesnt like it she just love been alone she does the same to the parents but when the baby does it with me it becomes an issue having done my research on how I can assist the baby for example when she has tantrums and I try to come her down like Bobo is explain The mum& dad just gets very angry they wants to discipline her saying she need to learn how to communicate properly not by crying and screaming they end up shouting at the baby very furiously .the current situations is so bad as a nanny I feel like I wanna work with them and assist the baby But i dont know how remember they are in denial about the childs behaviour if I ever or anyone tries to say the child is autistic the parents will get very furious and throw you out or harm you (am just a foreigner working)so I choose to keep to myself and help where I can though this makes my job so hard and I feel like qiuting and looking for another job but then I have this thing convincing me God has a purpose to why am working here .

That’s such an amazing job you are doing!! We are praying that God will grace you with so much grace as you help nature that baby. You indeed have what you need to help this family. We’d say, pray for the parents and her and we believe that God will give you the wisdom you’ll need to help them. 🫂🫂🫂

Polite words need no language/cultural heritage to be applied... , Tafadhali is E. African and is polite. Asante, Naomba, Pole. So from E. A.Culture, then those are good words to learn... And I guess English has become more of 1st language even to all of you in the conversation coz none is using mother tongue..... So politeness is a biggie in English lang/culture.. , so Plz, thank you and sorry are necessary words to learn early as English is what we and our children are being socialized in. Interesting conversation. Thanks
