Morphine - All Wrong

- One of the most underrated bands of the 90s, Morphine melded free-form beat lyrics with a clean bass, jazzy drums and a sexy saxophone sound that band leader Mark Sandman dubbed "Low Rock". This killer cut is from their classic 1994 album "Cure for Pain". Sadly, Sandman died of heart failure in 1999 while performing onstage at an Italian concert.
with only 2 strings and a bag full of cool Mark Sandman rocked the world and left a lasting impression that will be felt for decades to come. I try to get my younger nephews to listen to Morphine every chance I get....Mark Sandman R.I.P.
Потому что надо играть музыку, а не дрочить😊 многие об этом забывают.
Most underraterd band of 90's
Dammit Mark and Jerome as a rhythm section kick ass, they are so tight and swinging and the saxophone is so beautiful and smokey and gives them such a unique angle, plus Mark's vocals, words, attitude, vision..the coolest. Keep turning people on to Morphine.
One of the best 90s riffs.
Saw heard them in an old theater in Detroit, 1994. They were low key slamming. Sandman with his Ampeg, two string hollow body slide bass and Jerome and that bari sax man. It has always spoken to me. We danced like idiots to "Thursday" back in '94..
A great and unique band. Who else plays 2 string slide bass? Such a great sound all around. Sax run through a wah wah peddle? Such cool and innovative guys.
Fave morphine songs, no particular order: all your way, cure for pain, empty box, top floor bottom buzzer, french fries with pepper, rope on fire, cocoon, let's take a trip together, have a lucky day. Not to mention treat her right's i think she likes me. You know they are a great band when you cant limit them to having just 2-3 good songs you like and cant honestly pick a favorite from the cornicopia of soundscapes each represents, they were submerged in the underbelly or nirvana quietly scratching the surface til people discovered and will continue to discover there greatness
You are right, you named all of these and I still would put there "The night" as one of the most haunting and beautiful song I have ever listened to
Instruments like Sax, Sitars, Wazoo's in a rock song always elevate it into godlike status to me.
they don't make bands like this anymore
Aleksandra Ilijevski yeah man. It's all wrong
they never did, never will.
Mark Sandman himself is just absolutely a god youre not gonna find any jazz alturnitive bands like this
Because they’d die
Mark kind of looks like Lou Reed's younger brother, and has a similar, creative monotone way of singing. Both are the epitome of cool!
compared to Sandman, Reed isnt cool at all
@@mishagasparovsky196Legend has it Miles Davis was the only man who ever charted higher than Sandman on the Cool scale
Still amazed at the sax solo going through the "wah-wah" effect at 2:20 even after listening to it all these years. R.I.P. Mark...
Saw them at chastain park at HORDE festival probably 92’ , those days were foggy but so much fun. Blues Traveler, Black Crowes, Ziggy Marley and the melody makers and Urban Dance Squad from Holland! John Popper invented some of the best music festivals, so diverse yet melded perfectly. Gosh I miss when good music was at the forefront of life
Cure for pain is one of my most precious. Mark where ever you are, be blessed.
sandman look`s like a good wine!!there`s immortal!!! i wish the time could be stopped!!!
too cool. RIP Mark.
bari sax is the best instrument on earth.
Lol no.
+Caden Fryxell Lol most certainly yes.
Ultimate fail. It is in no way the best instrument. Please attempt to explain why
Caden Fryxell Ultimate win. Please explain why it's not the best instrument, old sport. ;)
@@Coloruption right there with the Bass sax as best
t instrument, but few outside of Adrian Rollini could play it right.

Jo Schmo Is that a positive or negative comment?
@@jimbohamilton I don't even know! I've spent a lot of time listening to and looking for 90's bands as a teenager. I would have fucking remembered a band with a double bass in it.
I'm addicted to le alcohol. I''m listening to Morphine.
She had black hair like ravens crawling over her shoulders
All the way down
She had a smile that swerved
She had a smile that curved
She had a smile that swerved all over the road
It's all wrong all wrong
All wrong all wrong
She had a way of making people feel good to be around her
As it should be
It's all wrong all wrong
All wrong all wrong
All wrong all wrong
All wrong
And when she laughs I travel back in time
Something flips the switch and I collapse inside
It's all wrong all wrong
All wrong all wrong
All wrong all wrong
All wrong
uhh.. congrats on over 100.000 views man
