- Here is the mahogany TRBX 505 review and sound sample both in passive & active mode with its various knob combos. Check my other videos for a sample with a song to blend. I compare a bit with SIRE M2 in my review.

The TRBX sounds and sits so good in a mix.
@@savanaviolenta thanks
Thanks for this. As what I've told you before, I bought the Yamaha TRBX 505 for my son a couple of months ago. We chose the TRBX 505 over the Site M2 for 2 reasons. 1 is the TRBX505 looks prettier and more slick than the M2. Reason 2 is, the M2 is not available in our local store. They only have the M7 which is an overkill for a kid just starting to play bass.
I do agree with you with everything you said regarding the comparison of the M2 and TRBX505. I have purchased the M2 (Blue body and maple fretboard) for my music teacher in college and he loves it a lot!
Thanks for this review. As always, I enjoy watching your videos and reviews. God bless!
Yes, when there’s a limitation, either is sufficient bass for the job. But when we have a freedom, M2 is the best value. Thanks for stopping by
@@RamaNatan I just couldn't see myself owning an instrument with someone else's name (not the manufacturer) on the headstock. Plus, I'm mainly a guitarist so the shorter scale length is a plus for me. And the Yamaha has the 2 laminate strips in the neck so it will be less prone to changing so much over time
@@TheRealxVincent I understand just put a tape on the name 😃
Thanks for the review, I love to watch your facial expressions while playing, just subscribed to see more in the future. I'm a one month newby bass playa (25 years hitting things with wood (drummer), but my old back doesn't let me play too much anymore).
I investigated quite a bit before purchasing my flat black 505, for 3 reasons, its pretty...I can look at it all day without getting tired, here in Sao Paulo Brazil Sire is twice the price as in the US for whatever reason (I think maybe Yamaha ships directly here so the price is almost comparable to in the US) and I got a good deal on a perfect condition used one, finally for whatever other reason here in Brazil they love their 5 string basses..4 string models are actually more expensive and difficult to find.
I'm a newby and my opinion doesn't hold too much weight, but after a week I am loving the 505. I really like that I can practice all day in passive mode with the battery removed (I heard even in passive mode the battery is being used).
Does the M2 allow passive without a battery?
Also where are you from, I cant place your accent?
Keep rockin! You play great! Robert
Hi Rob! Thanks 😊 yes M2 works without batteries. I’m from Jakarta Indonesia. Stay tuned
TRBX 505 Works without batteries, but even on passive mode, it dry the battery.
I have yamaha trbx505. And I have to say that it is very lightweight bass, only 3.2kg. I like how it sounds in passive mode better than in active. It is really nice bass. Low B is good.
Can it be tuned 2 semitones down to A
@@SunnyBeeRandomTuber Yes
Nicee, i also got one a few days ago
Boa tarde amigo!
Comprei o meu 505 recentemente e estou esperando chegar. Você poderia por gentileza me informar as dimensões deste instrumento pra que eu possa encomendar o case?
No site da Yamaha não especificam as dimensões. Desde já te agradeço! 🙏
Excellent review? TRBX 305 or 505? What would be your go to?
@@Flaubert.Ferreira 305 love the 5 preset
Very great review you have answered all my questions about this bass👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Glad I could help
I have the TRBX605 in Matte Amber
Love it
Thank you Rama for the in depth review. From what I understand the TRBX has 24 inch and Sire M2 has12 inch radius respectively. How would you compare the neck profile and the play-ability of the TRBX 505 vs Sire M2?
quite different but both comfy no worries for the neck, both have a great playability
@@RamaNatan Thanks. Could you elaborate a little more if you can please? Which one has a slimmer and faster player neck? Which one can be set up with lower action?
@@emrahercancakir I tuned down a whole step on my M2 and it's still solid, maybe bcoz it's 35 inch scale.
@@RamaNatan Thanks for all the insight!
B string sound like boom💥💥
Excellent review. I had this bass for a while. Unfortunately, it didn't survive a few beach gigs, in direct sunlight. Lol, i barely survived.
Cool bass though.
Direct sunlight? 😂
@@RamaNatan yeah, the headstock tried to turn away from the sun! It was a busy summer and I didn't have time to fix it. My gen 1 V7 had no problems outdoors.
Oh wow
WTF...this sounds better than a $3k Musicman!?
Whats the different between bbg 5a and trbx 505
is this lighter than the Ibanes sr505?
Help me which bass sound better this bass or trbx305 please 🙌🏼
305 to me
The Sire M2 is a beast, solid mega low end and the awesome electronics. I am so glad to have one besides the V3. Have you seen the guitar lineup from Sire? H7,L7,S7, A3, A4... they are doing such a good work👍what about the forests on Indonesia so far? 😉
Hope the forest is revitalized otherwise we don’t get the new bass with ebony and rosewood anymore 😅 I haven’t tried the guitars yet
@@RamaNatan who do you refer with "we"? Which Sire Bass is ebony and Rosewood. Thomann Germany is going to have the new Sire Guitar Lineup.... m.thomann.de/de/search.html?q=Sire%20gitarre
All of us who’d like to buy the future Sire 😁. M7 6 rosewood, M2 V3 Rwood. Others are Ebony
good review
thanks
Trbx 505 or trbx 605
Wicho one sounds better
both nice
May I know which bass amp do u use for practice with this guitar?
I don’t use amp
@@RamaNatan so what do use sir..?
03:51 How much does it weigh precisely?
around 4,3kg
the sire is 4 string thow right
This sounds great for slap
Maybe a sire M5 review soon?
Yes! Sept Okt though
What amp are you using and pedals if any ?
just bass directly to go mixer
May I know if the cavity is shielded?
Forgot it
Yes it's shielded with shielding paint buh it's not that effective..Had to reshield mine with copper foil... Mine is the trbx 305 though..
TRBX models are there 4 strings?
Yes, the last number in the TRBX range is the number of string, so the TRBX504 is the 4 string equivalent of this.
Yes of course
Please review Yamaha BB 735A
I did the sound sample long time ago check my playlist
