Keep cover factory, looks clean. More importantly it makes the performance intake parts stand out in the engine bay. I vote factory or at least, mostly black engine cover.
LOVE what you've done so far! Absolutely solid. My vote would be to keep the cover as is, OEM. Looking forward to seeing the Michelin's on too - completely agree - they'll look fantastic.
Last video you put out I attached links to the Michilen PS4s tires in sizes you wanted "35 sidewall" that were available. I am not selling them, not affiliated or anything. Just found them available new in stock on Ebay through tire companies. I bought my Continental DSW06 version 2 tires recently through Discount Tire site on Ebay. Got them within 3 days as opposed to local store ordering with delivered to store date of 7-10 days.
The engine cover would be sick painted white with black lettering and the m badge left the same. My reasoning is that a carbon cover might be a little too much carbon. I hate saying that because I usually go carbon everything lmao
Yeah this is what I will be doing, adding a few of the OEM features onto the carbon cover. I actually have the carbon cover on now and its a bit bare, almost too much. SO ill be adding the "MPOWER" as well as the little M Badge to give it that OEM feel.
I used a wireless mic and clipped it near the right intake (staring at the car) and dropped the input level very low. Unfortunately the gain wasn't quite low enough and you can still hear some clipping going on. Takes some trial and error to get it just right.
What is your opinion of the alcantara steering wheel? I have like the look and I assume you get good grip with it, but would it not wear out quickly after about a month or two do to sweat or oils from your hands?
I've had a few alcantara wheels now and it really comes down to your style of driving and how you maintain the wheel. I typically get custom wheels built now with leather on the left and right sides, then alcantara on the tops and bottoms. The left and right sides see the most wear, leather will hold up better over time for sure. My oem gts wheel is trashed. The alcantara is basically gone and its very slippery, so i am having custom one built similar to what i explained above but with GTS trim features.
@@ThicWhips big fan of your channel man. You ever think of building up an older Cayman? I know you are a big BMW guy but would love to see what you could/would do to a Porsche.
@@ThicWhips can’t wait for that man!! Im a big porsche fan. Love the size and look of the Cayman (and 911 for that matter). I’m sure it will be a master piece! Let me guess white right? Lol…love the storm trooper look.
@@ThicWhips he said it was the best handling car he has ever driven and I was curious does it handle better than a Porsche turbo s or gt3. Those are the best handling cars I’ve ever driven.
Keep the factory cover fsho!! Looks way classier than just a bunch of shiny carbon. The contrast now works
M performance cover would look 👌 🤤 plus paintmatched csf intercooler??
So dope!
Carbon motor cover for sure! It'll balance the spread of the carbon in the bay imo.
Does it not need a remap after installing the intake?
Looks sick man! I personally think you should keep the engine factory. I like how it compliments the carbon fiber.
🤝
Gotta keep it looking kinda stock so when the office asks to pop the hood you just say “it’s GTS man, they added some carbon fiber” lol

Those intakes are a work of art. Build is looking awesome my man!
Absolutely!
Loving the build as always🔥🔥 IMO carbon fiber engine cover foreshore just completes the look and keeps the engine bay show ready

I just installed the Eventuri carbon intake on my 2022 Supra. They are so sexy looking and sound freakin awesome.
Did you notice a difference when you fitted the charge pipes? I imagine they contribute to more intake noise too?
Holy sh*t, $2,700! 😂 that’s wild, but a super beautiful design and super aggressive - fits the M4 perfectly!🤙🏾
Full send on carbon engine cover & polish it off with dress-up-bolts!! 👏🏾
I need to know how you recorded that intake audio at around 16mins in the video???👀 It sounded great! Thanks

@@ThicWhips Nice I gotta try that….there’s always the fear of the unknown when attempting to leave a mic under there but the audio is worth it😂
Keep it OEM Mpower cover or if you really want to add carbon do the Mpower engine cover
Carbon! Engine cover and powder coat white 😈 the top cooler
You have so much carbon in the engine bay you might as well go full send with the engine cover
Full send it is!
Carbon engine cover defo but the intake and them wheels keep them looks amazing 🔥💯
Sheesh man liking all Your content ! Thick whips to the top!
The sound from under the hood is awesome.
Love your content but this by far is my fav and can resonate with this chasis having an alpine white f80 👌🏽. Plus love your taste, keep it up bro
Love to hear it man thanks
This beauty just gets better and better 🥵😍. Loving this build brother 👌🏼
💪🏽
Hell yeah dude wing is the way to go 👍
I agree!
The car looks great dude. Looks perfect with the Icon led headlights.
Thanks!
Really like car man. Looking forward to more E36 content

Leave the OEM. It’s and M car, gotta represent that.
Lol, keep the wing bro for sure. #bigwanggang , no compromise.
I feel like the wing should be bigger xD I know it’s stock but it just does not look right… I’m still completely in love with the car though
gotta do the carbon cover or marshmello, I think thats his name makes some super cool covers
Banging out videos at an incredibly fast pace!!
💪🏽

how does it compare to the m2 in handling?
I prefer the stock engine cover, makes the engine bay cleaner. Charge coolers next?
Soon
i think you should’ve gotten the cover in white instead of the carbon fiber
Nice! Link to plastic rivet kit on amazon?

Wheres the roll cage? 👀
Give it a try, carbon fiber engine cover, if you don’t like it just sell it!!!
I'd go on IND and grab a painted engine cover
Cleanest M4 gts 🔥
🙏🏽
Keep the factory cover
Equal mid pipe anytime soon ?
Yuh
That wing iiiis soooo SEXYY! I love it!
Nice 👍🏽
get the engine cover
i personally like the factory engine cover
M4 gts handles better than a turbo s? Really?

Paint the engine color white
Delete the wing!! It’s so bad!
Wait till you take it to the track, 🤌🏾🤌🏾👌🏾👌🏾.
