Please get Royce Lewis on some kind of yoga program or something. There has to be a way to manage all these strained and pulled muscle problems he keeps having.
I'm new to baseball. Why do they usually tag the runner on 2nd base rather than just have the foot on the base? Are struggling to locate the base so it's easier to tag the runner?
Certain plays require you tag the runner. A force play means you are only required to have your foot on the base and have possession of the ball before the runner is there. Force plays essentially are when the runner is forced to go to that base (ie a single has a force play at first or the runner is on second base and someone is on first base already forcing the runner to move up to third base if someone gets a hit). If that same runner is on second base with no one on first base and that runner decides to try to advance to third there is no one forcing him to do so. Hence, it’s a tag play and the runner must be physically tagged before getting to the base. Having your foot on the base and possession of the ball is not enough unless it’s a force play.
I cant see the tigers paying skubal, when they have to, he's gonna get a massive contract, he's pitched very well, and probably will win the cy young this year. So, you might as well trade him, and get as much as you can for him.
I'm a tigers fan, and the tigers might as well trade skubal,, because they're not gonna pay him. In a proposed trade with Atlanta the tigers get their number 2 pitching prospect for jack Flaherty. Imagine what the tigers could get for skubal. The tigers need prospects, they need to build up the minor league system. You look at successful teams, and even teams in their own division like the guardians and the royals and the twins, they've got an embarrassment of riches when it comes to pitching and hitting. So, if someone gets injured, they've got several players in the minors ready to step right in. The tigers don't really have a great minor league system, that's one of the things they need to fix, if they're ever gonna be a winning team again.
@@scottpremo4382 why not? He's only under contract for 2 more years and it's going to take longer than that for the Tigers to be contenders again. Might as well load up on stud prospects and maximize the return.
Shohei Ohtani has Homered in 25.2% of his Games, Barry Bonds Homered in 25.5% of his Games Babe Ruth Homered in 28.5% of his Games, Aaron James Judge Homered in 31.4% of his career games so far, After Judge hits another 11 Homers He will Become the First and Only Hitter in baseball History to Hit 300 homeruns in less than 1000 Career Games
It wouldn't surprise me at all if judge breaks Barry bonds single season home run record. He's on a mammoth pace for home runs. In all likelihood he will pass 300 home runs this year.
Correa should be an all star!
Why does that matter? All Star games are meaningless...

The fact these two teams start with the letter T

Some lucky teams will be fortunate to have Flaherty and Skubal by the end of the Trade Deadline.
Definitely not trading skubal.

Tigers bullpen blew it.
Wonder how many days Buxton will miss due to that diving grab
He’s done a good job staying healthy so far
Twins still going strong
Why not show the controversial call that was made calling Ryan Jeffers out? Shady
I don’t think the camera crews caught it! I was at the game and just happened to be watching 1B…that’s the only reason I knew what happened
@@jrob3905 I don’t believe that for a second. There’s a ton of cameras
@@Ageman6058 they didn’t show the replay in the stadium either
