I have gotten up to take my kid to pee in the middle of the night since he was 22 months old. At that age it was 2-3 times but he's 3.5 years old now and I still get him up to pee. I haven't slept through the night since he was born but that's parenting.

I agree they don’t know how hard it is, but that’s because they have chosen to not deal with the hard stuff, all while continuing to have children. Weaning and potty training are extremely difficult, generally because parents implement those things when children are much younger, but ignoring it because you’re busy and tired is neglectful.

@@takuma8974 one of my grand kids was slow, but parents had to work hard on it. No need for nappies as there are disposable sheets, similar to very thick soft puppy training pads. Before that we used large beach towels for our kids.

I know, my cousin wore pull ups at 5 (only at night) because he was mostly potty trained but would still wet the bed. Its sometimes needed. But not diapers.

That’s horrible. They can literally buy liners for the beds to protect the mattress from getting wet. If they wet the bed they can strip the sheets themselves. The parents need to teach them responsibility not rely on baby things to make it easier.

I did not put diapers or pull ups on my kids at night once I put them in underwear. If they had accidents, I cleaned it up. Sometimes they helped. No matter how tired I was because I knew this moment would not last forever and I would miss this time with them. So hang in there because it will go by faster than you think. My kids, 23 and 20now.
They've got weird issues where they want their kids to stay babies forever. For their children's sake, I hope they learn fast that you can not control your children or try to use them to fulfill your own void.

Schools here where I live don't potty train children.If they are not potty trained then they don't attend school.Heck even most day cares won't take children that are three that are not potty trained or have pacifiers.

I also didn't want my baby bottles to be taken away. I was 5 y.o for my parents successfully take it. I just loved how the plastic felt warm cuz of the milk and it lulls me to sleep without fail. If i was drinking glass i have to quickly drink it in one go unlike in baby bottles. They threaten me to tell my classmates that i still drink in bottles or if that didn't work they will put chillis on the bottles. I dont remember how i got over it but yeah.

Our twins just turned 2 y.o. in Feb. & they have been without diapers or pull ups since "B4" their 2nd birthday! Granted it CAN B hard as well as tiring but it is what is BEST 4 the child/children 2 "help" them grow & become more independent. There R nite lights in the hallway & in the bathroom so they can find their way quite easily, they have not had an accident yet

I also didn't want my baby bottles to be taken away. I was 5 y.o for my parents successfully take it. I just loved how the plastic felt warm cuz of the milk and it lulls me to sleep without fail. If i was drinking glass i have to quickly drink it in one go unlike in baby bottles. They threaten me to tell my classmates that i still drink in bottles or if that didn't work they will put chillis on the bottles. I dont remember how i got over it but yeah.
5 year olds in nappies is wrong. Their big kids now and they need to leave the baby things to the actual babies

This is ridiculous children this age don’t have bottles nor should be in nappies. All parents get tired it’s a fact of life when you have children but no reason to keep your children babies for convenience. Parents are just lazy.

That's parental neglect. You shouldn't have used them past the age of 1-2 for dental reasons.
I know a 2 year old who hasn't even been potty trained yet and she can tell you when she wants to pee and not wet her diaper all day and no one has worked on potty training her yet

Why in the world would you give 4 kids big bottles of milk when they are going to bed? It’s for sure those kids will be up to the bathroom at 4 different times.
I think wearing Diapers 24/7 is easier due to many many advantages & how much water they're saving when they have to use the restroom.
Diapers are expensive though, so not really advantageous
