@@nialldowling658 Yeah it is very special that he happend to drive past a guys singing his song that's why it's uploaded on YT. And no when using a mic for looping most of the times it is just linked to a loop pedal station and it's litterly 1 press of a button and all the effects and looping stops and it's just as normal again...

Because the performer is a looper!! He probably has different effects for when he beatboxes, so he uses an extra mic, then loops it into his songs. Look up looper musicians like Bernhoft on youtube, they often use multiple microphones!

No efence to the guy, but that was not beatbox, and to buy such equipment would be a waste, if he wanted to incorporate it to the music.

yes that's true.....that's why he doesn't shake hands with the guy who played guitar (what I would do if I really want to show some appreciation for playing "my" song,) and the camera guy turns to the right when he actually gets in the car, so that you miss that more people get into the car than got out.....so yes 100% planned!
The spare mic is used for building tracks with his loop pedal when he performs on the street, so that's why it was there.

It was very respectful of him to actually not take the stage - but he stood there and listened to the music like everybody else. Absolut good behaviour. That dude was totally cool - yeah he's knew his stuff and will i am didn't make him nervous, that's potential :D
Just to clarify, I live in Hollywood and a lot of street performers have multiple microphones. Whether or not it's for his loop, it's also a great way to make some extra bank by letting little kids hop on the mic and sing with them or something. Imagine being on vacation with your children in Hollywood and a street performer like him is singing Frozen (which still happens a LOT...) he spots them singing to themselves and beckons them to be a star with him... super genuine and great way to pull more of an audience. I don't think this was set up. The quality isn't crazy, hell that could be a stock go pro, and lastly I've met will 4 times now working in restaurants and movie theaters. He asked me for free chicken tenders once. You're welcome Will.

Yeah, there have been a lot of videos larely of street performers being "surprised" by artists. And they all just happen to be singing the songs of those artists and someone happens to be filming at that time? I'm starting to doubt that these are coincidences (i.e Matisyahu, Seal, and now Will.I.am?). It all seems fishy/promotional.
