Usually, there are no such conditions in the maps where they are so close to each other and can conquer each other quickly. Their programming was very advanced at the time
i use gen patcher , gentool , low graphic , low brightness , low every thing it is stil so much laggy , can yoy send me this map ? i want to see that the lags are comming from map or my laptop ?
Some maps are not well optimized, no matter how strong your system is, if the number of active units in an area increases, there is a possibility of a crash. Use this program, it helps a little legi.cc/downloads/genpatcher/

What patch you using about lag and frame drop
I have 50k$ pc and still got lag on 5+ players

You don't need up-to-date and strong hardware for this game, but I use ryzen 5700x, radeon 6900xt, 16gb of ram
