- In this video, we explore the alarming pollution levels of the Yamuna River. We visited multiple locations along the river, collected water samples, and spoke with locals who are directly affected by its toxic state. We conducted lab tests, and the results were shocking-far from what’s considered safe or clean. Through a detailed case study, we uncovered why the river remains polluted despite years of cleanup efforts and the massive amount of money the government has spent. Instead of improving, the situation has only gotten worse. This video reveals the harsh reality behind one of India’s most polluted rivers.

The Yamuna in Delhi is choking due to untreated sewage, industrial waste, and plastic pollution. Over 1,200 MLD of sewage flows in daily, and toxic chemicals from factories make it worse. Govt action is slow, but people also need to stop dumping waste. Sad state for a sacred river!

Whenever we discussed about pollution the main problem is in us because most of people throw waste or garbage everywhere instead of using dustbin not just Yamuna river but others too people easily throw waste like as railway tracks, Highway

I am from Ahmedabad and i can say that bjp government has done a remarkable job in cleaning and beautifying sabarmati river and created a whole different area which is famously know as sabarmati riverfront , earlier was polluted and had less water now if you come to ahmedabad you will feel mesmerized by the beauty of the river both at night and on day

Sabarmati riverfront project is totally a failure. It has turned the river into a rivulet type lake & has made it's water more polluted.
I visited exactly on Feb last year and the water of sabarmati is like blue shiny liquid so beautiful and clean

I can literally feel goosebumps while watching this video. Idk why this issue has not been resolved till date, but I promise that I’ll make sure that no one else will suffer this again. I’m currently working on a waste management platform I’ll try my best to collaborate with the government and the industries over there and reduce the waste to minimal. Regarding personal waste disposal I’ll try collaborating with the municipal corporation for their waste management. Yet, as this video wants to convey we too lack basic civic sense and need to change this attitude.

1. Subdized sewage treatment plant for industries with too much checking..
2. Area wize sewage treatment plant that too subsidized
3. Annual maintanence charge form every household to maintain it
4. Ahmedabad has more industries but see sabarmati rvierfront

I live in Ahmedabad and I witness how Ahmedabad Municipality tries to make this thing more sustainable and self-governing and now they have started the second phase of this and in future it will expand to Narendra Modi Stadium and Gift City. To attract people and tourism to riverfront and earn money they organizing flower show, kite festival and they made Atal Bridge, Biodiversity Park, flower park, gardens , children park, outdoor playing area, rented food court for public and I get to know in future they will make Imagica, Jungle Safari like Many more projects even I don't know about incoming projects so that's the great and profitable investment

i am a rajasthani here we not have any river but i get the purest water to drink because we have a water storage unit named TAANKA and rain water harvesting system and how can we forget IGNP the saviour of western rajasthan from water crisis and we all respect water and know its importance . i remember when i was a child my grandfather always warn me to use less water while bathing and for all neccessity needs and peoples in western rajasthan prefer to clean all utensils with sand or ash from the old time so peoples in western rajasthan know use of water and rest all don't know difference between use and abuse because not do any struggle to get water

According to me government should follow some points to properly clean the river which are-
1. Stopping all the industrial waste into the river.
2. Removing all the encroachment (jhuggi jhopdi) from river side.
3. Presenting “trash skimmer” in the river which keeps on doing all the work day and night.
4. Heavy fine on littering garbage in river to the people and punishment to them by cleaning the river manually.

heyy!! .. i was making my term project report on water quality of yamuna river( i am a enviormental engineer doing my masters from IIT BOMBAY ) ...so before reading research papers thought to watch a video to get a overview and end up watching your video i really appreciate your efforts also i have few suggestion hope you will read them and if found logical will try to apply them . 1) provide all the reports and articles which you used in your video it make it more reliable 2). in the whole video you mentioned many times about the lack of political will but we need to understand enviormental problems are not just governance problem in video you stated that" in logo ka kya yeh toh apna pet bhar ke chale jayenge bhugtega toh aam aadmi " but why we are not accepting problem is also created by us ..we need to accept it first and work on the solution part since you have the access to the people i request you to make videos which are also solution oriented and not only working on post problem solution but all aspect of solution including preproblem solutions which can be done on individual basis .
Thank you for stating the true cause of these issues... It is us that has caused this problem, not the politicians or industrialists. Unless we take proactive actions together as a nation we cannot overcome those challenges.
