I think it was a reverb effect and just mixing in general instead of autotune

@@Moonastronaut nah I don't think so, if you compare lil nas x's studio version with the live stage his voice isn't stable and it seems like he's pushing a lot to get the notes out lol but that's just my observation.
Actually I'm not sure if rm used autotune or not but his voice naturally has this raspy push... And I love it!
Homie is pronounced the same way as a tool in Korea (homi) used for farming. So it sounds like both his Korean friends and tools are made of steel xD Its a fun little wordplay he brought in, as expected of RM (P.S. The song Dis-ease from the new album has a line with a quadruple meaning from RM, double meaning in both Eng and Kor. 🤠 Yee-dayum)

Over thanksgiving, my son and I had major discussions about auto tune. He was a music major in college, and I now know what I always thought was auto tune, is actually reverb... I am pretty sure RM just had reverb on his part and not auto tune. There are some cool things about this song... first, Lil Naz was broke and basically homeless, staying with his sister, sleeping on her couch. He he came out as gay and everybody turned on him. He lost friends, his job, and only his sister stood by him. He was going through the ads in a music industry newspaper and saw this song for sale for $50. He bought the song, but had trouble finding someone to do it with him and the money to get it recorded. He asked Billy Ray, and when he heard Lil Naz’s story and hardships, agreed to do it. He was so grateful that he bought Billy Ray a car like the one in the video. RM had no issue with working with lil Naz, because BTS fully supports the LBGQT community. Some of RM’s genius wordplay is in this song. When he is singing about his homies, he is referring to the steel tools used in Korea in gardens and farming, that are called homies. Also, thanks to lil Naz, BTS got to perform last year at the Grammys,. Even though it was just RM in the song, lil Naz invited all the guys to be included. I love him, he really is a great mix with BTS, I hope they do more together. 💜💜💜

In the show in Brazil, Jimin was sick and couldn't sing properly, so in this song he asked army to sing for him.. and they did, but in a country that is in the other side of the planet from theirs... so Jimin burst into tears of joy for the army and mad for being sick... the end of the video they even used in their latest film and series ... hope u guys enjoy... @@LeviAckerman-jf1vj Released in 1992...Achy Breaky is STILL played WAY too often around me. The country stations still play it twice an hour. Even on non-country radio stations you're guaranteed to hear it once an hour. It was a catchy song, and I did like it...at first...but now, I just cringe every time I hear Billy Ray - ANY song - because I'm so sick of *that* song. After so many plays of just that one song, his voice just grates on my nerves and I can't listen to anything of his. :(

BTS our boys hold the #1 and #3 songs on Billboard Hot 100 with Life Goes On and Dynamite! We have to wait until tomorrow to see where all the other tracks make it on the list (cause we know even Skit gonna be up there). Billboard charts freaked out on Twitter (check it out, it's actually super funny) and we made it for Jin's birthday! They are the fastest group/artist in history to have 5 number one albums, 2nd to none other than the Beatles, with two years and six months. The Beatles holding the record with just under two years and five months. BTS PAVED THE WAY! We did it ARMY! I had never heard this song before--I had only heard the Grammy version from the Behind the Scenes. Yeah, I could live without it.
Luckily there are HUNDREDS of BTS songs that I love. 💜
Change with RM and Wale a really good song with a message very much needed these days, fully in English and has a music video. Seoul Town Road is a cute remix and if showing off RM with American artists is hardly high on anyone's list . Fall Out Boy featuring RM is a kind of hard song with meaning and a specially produced lyric music video. That said keep in mind you have barely toughed BTS's actual catalog which is immense.
RM collaboration with FallOut Boys song is Champion, it's really good. It's still in my daily playlist 😊

I'm not a fan of the song, but I like RM's cute wordplay and this remix ended up being their ticket to their first Grammy stage performance. They were snubbed in the nominations last year but were able to appear as Lil Nas X's guest.

I know you got many many BTS songs to react to, if, by any chance, you can check RM's solo mixtape/song streaming "MONO", you will understand him from another angle. For me, RM (MONO), J-hope (Hope world) and Suga (Agust D) these SOLO mixtapes are the best way to know them in person beside of being BTS. The quality of these SOLO songs is absolutely great, worth to check them out one day.

Autotune yes for style only. BTS is so good in how to make a song better and they are happy to be a supoorting cast in friend's song. RM has a couple of good collaborative songs, e.g. Winter Flower, Umbrella. Suga in Max "Blueberry Eyes", IU "Eight"(also as producer).
