So we know this is a return guy imo. LS we are gonna be calling up bro til Scales is helathy. So there's 1 other spot they can call up. I don't think even if Velus is not the returner he is cut. Obviously worth picks in a Trade but he had a huge Run for a 1st, Then a huge catch for a 1st the next series. That 2nd half was all Gadget plays. 5 Wide. Stuff Caleb did at Usc. Velus is very very important if we are gonna be running these plays.

I am starting to get a little concerned about Rome’s ability to play in the NFL at this time. I know its a big statement but ive been seeing some dropped balls and not good route running at times. I thought he would be the most polished to start and these are areas that he dominated at in college. I think caleb needs to create more arc when getting rome the ball. We saw how good he was in the deep pass against the bengals. That jump ball he got against the titans was what he is known for…catching the ball at the high point. Out-jumping all defenders. But then he fumbled it right afterwards. Sometimes he looks like he is just standing there and not hustling. Not sure if that is a designed play but i doubt it. He tripped a lineman on one of the plays where caleb got sacked. I think it was screen to the left. Not sure if its just me or others are seeing it too. Just compare that to the hustle from others especially the defensive players. Everyone needs to play with high intensity
Good stuff again Swifty! Thanks for the update! In my humble opinion, cut Velus, dress Scott, promote Johnson to 53, and sign Wallis to PS. Being "week to week" it looks like Odunze stays on 53; thank goodness!!!!!

Sad to say but VJ needs to go; he's had far too many chances and Poles has to eat another bad decision and move on from it.
Wallis might just take Velus's job. We have plenty of RBs already. The Bears need more quality return men and VJ isn't that guy.

@Erik-nm5is it's kind of a mystery to me why nobody has signed Renfroe. It's possible he's not healthy. I like Renfroe, think he's a decent slot WR. Unfortunately Keenan Allen is probably the best slot WR in football so I doubt Renfroe would want to sign here.
I imagine he wants to go somewhere he could start. Potentially waiting for someone to get hurt and need a slot WR
@@SwiftSportsNetwork yea true! I just remember him being a Wes Walker type guy. I wish we grabbed Connor Williams for the Oline but we gotta have better option at FA wide outs to help until Rome gets healthy.

The offensive line is not bad. The Titans' defensive tackles can make most teams' interior linemen look bad. They have a couple of athletic giants in there.
