We debit and credit whatever we make in journals right
Then why we put cash account and bank account as contra
When we can just put debit and credit bank account

what is the meaning of debit balance & credit balance in banking. In banking software why why the customer's balance is always shown as debit? We are considering the customer as personal account or nominal account?
Debit balance is the amount bank will get from the public, and credit balance is the amount bank has paid extra, suppose in OD account loan taken 2 lakh but In this account I have 2.5 lakhs ,my credit balance is 50k vice versa as debit balance
