Beauty car. These became legal to import to Canada this year, hoping to see more folks get into them. Mine arrives from Japan soon, GT, S package, bunch of goodies from the STI catalogue already installed . Fingers crossed it has the front tower bar. I’d like to get a set of those tS wheels.
Hi there, did you install the headlights yourself? How do you wire them in to act as DLRs i.e U-bars stay on without dimming the dash (or you cannot do that?)? Cheers
I asked a friend of mine to do it (he does a lot of custom headlight work) - after taking off the bumper bar, he then took out the headlights. Then he swapped out the HID ballasts from the stock headlights into the new ones, and then reinstalled the new headlights back in place. Yes they act as DRLs and they stay on (like turning on the parking lights).
Thanks! I know the install procedure, I am just curious if it's a straight plug and play or you need to do something with a few loose wires that come of the plug to make it work as DLRs? If you could have a look at yours or check with the installer that'd awesome. Got the lights in and cannot wait to install them :) To clarify, with lights completely off (even the parkers) do the U-bars come on automatically with the ignition on you have to turn them on manually as you'd do with stock parking lights?
Thanks, v happy with the look, and not too OTT. A variety of suppliers.... but mainly from Garage88 in Sydney (at Eastern Creek), they did supply and install. I also got stuff via japanparts.com and jessestreeter.
Yeah - I wanted something a bit phatter and with nicer offset! very happy with them - upgraded the rubber to michelin pilot super sports, and ride comfort is also better
Not sure if you'd reply on the forums but having trouble finding specifically the rotors you used.. T3 Slotted DBA4000's. Can't find anything 2012-2013 compad...
