Same, I was today years old when I discovered people actually just stuff sheets rather than change the whole thing. XD I legit thought "duvet" was just a fancy word for "comforter"
Duvet hack: 1. Place duvet onto bed. 2. Turn duvet cover inside out and place over the top of duvet 3. Put hands through duvet cover and grab duvet corners at the top 4. Whilst holding duvet corners and cover shake it down like you would when putting a pillow in it's case 5. Put the last two bottom corners into duvet cover and close the cover. So simple and much easier this way!. Hope this helps ❤️

Hey girl there’s an easier way to make a bed you can actually turn the duvet cover inside out , put your arms in till you find both corners , grab the duvet by the corners while your arms are inside the duvet cover and flip it then pull the sides down and put the last 2 corners into the duvet cover then button up the bottom or zip 😊😊 I know everyone makes a bed differently but hopefully this helps

Ashleigh Short I think it’s either one, flat or top, and then fitted. The top sheet is usually tucked in. Depending on your comfort, I grew up with it always tucked in. Then when I got married my husband never liked it tucked in, so I got used to it untucked, though if someone pulled on it too much you’d be left with your feet in uncovered 😧 🥶 can’t stand that.
It may be more of a hassle, but I would recommend trying out some of the bedding for a longer time (like a few days or a week) or washing the bedding, some bedding I’ve gotten feel soo nice and soft at first but then they get weird pilling on them.
Easy way to put cover: 1. Reverse the cover and and spread it on a bed like you would spread a bedsheet. 2. Spread your duvet over the cover. 3. From closed bottom 1 corner hold the corner of duvet and cover together start rolling it *diagonally* both cover and duvet together. Or even rolling it straight would work. 4. By the time you reach the end i.e towards the open end, reverse the 1 side of open end over the rolled one unroll, unrolling can be done easily by standing and grabbing the open end parts together with the duvet and just sort of yanking/jerking it lightly.( Edit:- English isn't my first language so I tried translating my language word and it showed jerk/ yank so......) 5. And done. Its easier this way if your duvet/ blanket/ quilt is really thick/heavy. If its thin and light rolling is not needed, simply filp it over by holding the corners. I am sure eveyone knows this or even an easier method. I just thought I'll share incase someone need.

next time: - turn your sheet inside out - get your arms inside and grab the corners - now with your hands in the corners of the sheet, grab the corners of your duvet - flip inside out, roll the sheet down, over the duvet - the right side is now outside and this is way easier than stuffing the duvet inside :) 💗
Putting a sheet on the duvet is easier if you put the cover inside out and put it corner to corner then pull it down the duvet. Takes up so little time. Xx

Except how I did it when I used to work in cabins is turn the duvet cover inside out and put your arms in and have a hand in the top corners grab the corners of the duvet while hands are inside the cover at the corners and flip it back... right side in..??? It’ll be perfectly placed in the inside then you just button or zip it up
That’s what I was coming down to the comment section to mention 😂 usually when I’ve bought “cheaper” bedding, the dye rubs off ON me while I’m sleeping and bleeds in the washer (even with following the instructions). So, part of me does wish a washer and dryer test was included with this but that’d be a bit much 😂. I feel bad already that she made her bed like 7 times just to show us what they look like on.

A trick I learned in nursing school: put the duvet cover inside out, put your hand into the corners and grab the duvet blanket‘s corners and shake. Boom you’re done ☺️

I just flip the duvet cover inside out and put my arms in, grab the corners of the duvet and just like shake it good and it goes so much better and quicker than the way u do it
A method that has been around for generations: put your duvet neatly spread out on the bed, then turn your duvet cover inside out, put your arms in the cover, grab the top corners of the cover and duvet from the inside and then ... shake it! It takes some practice and remains (especially for the smaller person) a bit of a hassle. I think this is the best way.
I thought everyone puts on their bedding that way, when I saw the way Mia does it I screamed internally cause she’s making it for so much harder for herself
@@ashlynmarks4632 it is a duvet. I’m sure you could, but it will probably look more flat and feel more like a sheet so if you’re looking for warmth or something with a bit more weight it might not be the best option
The problem with 100% polyester bedding is that it gets really hot (so the exact opposite of what you predicted). It doesn’t “breathe” at all, so as soon as your body starts to heat up, it traps all the heat under the covers and becomes like a sweat lodge.
sheets that are "sooo soft" like the pink set are nice because they're, y'know, soooo soft! lol. BUT especially if you're a hot sleeper or living in an apartment where you can't control the temperature, they're brutal because they just get way too warm....something slicker and more slippery is actually preferable and will help you regulate your body temperature better....you would think soft sheets would be nice but it's actually the more slippery sheets that are better quality, the "soft" sheets tend to be a sign of lower quality, and you'll find yourself getting over-heated.
My mother likes to sleep in a blanket sandwich. She uses blankets as a sheet and a blanket on top. She sleeps next to the radiator and have never heard her complain that it's too hot. To each their own I suppose. 🤷 (That happens in winter where the temperature falls below freezing, that is.

I’ve gotten polyester duvet sets from primark, and they always feel stiff at first, but the more you wash them, the softer they get! So I would suggest washing them before the first use 😊

The first time I saw one I thought "there's no way it comes like the picture" because it was too cheap. For just the cover, it's still cheap, but more believable
So funny seeing her handle my bed spread lol I LOVE the peaches and bought it myself. Fabric is decently comfortable, kinda cheap but not nearly as cheap as I thought it was going to be. Don't see it lasting ages but that's okay, it's a good price. I will say, however, that I got a queen size and it fits my full sized bed well (probably would be a little small for a queen bed then?) But the pillow cases are tiny. I popped a seam or two myself when stuffing my pillows in there. Still is my favorite bed spread though! On a side note: Mia, girl, it's a fitted and top sheet 😂
There’s a fitted sheet then a flat sheet and then the comforter or duvet. And those pillow cases are probably a standard sham and not a king size shame for your king size pillows! Your so cute love you !
I have a severe sensory disorder and cannot deal with polyester or other scratchy fabrics touching my skin. My bedding is 100% long staple cotton, and my clothes all have to be a good quality cotton. When I touch polyester, it gives me anxiety and I want to crawl out of my skin, it is like fingernails on a chalkboard. I just got a 100% cotton quilt with cotton batting by red land vintage all white quilt and it is the best absolutely best quality. I love the dedication Mia put into testing out all of these bed sets. great job Mia
Girl I’m about to make your life a lot easier when it comes to putting Donna covers on. Flip the cover inside out, put one hand in each of the corners at the top of the cover (not the side with the closure) and grab the top corners of the doona. Shake. Literally the easiest method.
MIa!! I live in Canada and order from Shein all the time and if you DON'T choose express shipping then you won't get charged customs! I know it's tempting since it's free after you spend a certain amount, but it's really only a couple days faster than normal shipping, and the customs are insane!

You’ve got. “Fitted sheet” that is fit around mattress. “Flat sheet” lays over the mattress. Decorative pillow cases are called “shams”. Synthetic fabrics like micro fiber or polyester are more prone to make you hot at night. But material types for bedding is a whole nother comment.
If you want to really show us the feel of a fabric you could zoom in real close I think. If we see the knit we can imagine the feel from experience with another piece we do own. Could you try that please? But I'd never go for polyester, that doesn't breathe. It may feel cool now, but when you're sleeping it will heat up and the moisture and heat can't get out, so it'll be very sweaty. 100% cotton all the way. I also feel like they were quite thin, I could see the stripe of your pillows through most of them. As for the price, it's quite low indeed, but for that quality I've seen better prices. The designs are unbeatable though, very on trend. But I've bought covers in local supermarkets or stores that were of an amazing quality and price. Also local online discounters. But nice video, feel a bit bad for you though, changing bedding is a workout! xo's☺️

A duvet and comforter are different though. A comforter is 1 color or pattern to match the bedding. A duvet is like a comforter but white so that you can put a cover on it.

Most likely was machine oil spilled on it from when it was being stitched. If you notify your supervisor. Your pay would be docked. So I assume the seamstress just ignored it and kept on sewing. As Mia didn’t say it had an odour etc. so I don’t think it was from another person opening it and returning. 😊
Mia fgs hahah, the EASIEST way to put a duvet cover on is to put it inside out go inside and find the corners at the top.whilst youre in the corners, pinch the two corners of the duvet, flip the cover over and shake it out hahah
The problem is usually after the first wash and the bedding starts to pilling and gets ruff. Would love to hear what happens after you wash them. Update please.
I'm sure a bunch of people have already commented this but its called a fitted sheet and a flat sheet. Also, I think you should mix and match on your bed and do the pink blanket with the palm leaves pillowcases. I never even knew shein sold bedding so I am excited about that!

I think I remember your mom bought a queen size comforter, from watching your bedroom makeover video. It was probably a tight fit into Full duvet covers!
I would recommend only using the pillowcases that come in these sets as a “decorative” pillow when your bed is made and use silk pillowcases for the pillow you actually sleep on. It’s so much better for your hair and skin as it doesn’t tug on your hair (causing breakage) or pull on your skin (causing wrinkles).
Love your video! Helpful hint the easiest way to put a duvet in a duvet cover is to flip the cover in side out and match the corner and start to flip it the right way. I use chip clips to hold the duvet in the corners. I'm in charge of bedding visuals at my jobs and it is a time and energy saver.

Except how I did it when I used to work in cabins is turn the duvet cover inside out and put your arms in and have a hand in the top corners grab the corners of the duvet while hands are inside the cover at the corners and flip it back... right side in..??? It’ll be perfectly placed in the inside then you just button or zip it up

That’s what I was coming down to the comment section to mention 😂 usually when I’ve bought “cheaper” bedding, the dye rubs off ON me while I’m sleeping and bleeds in the washer (even with following the instructions). So, part of me does wish a washer and dryer test was included with this but that’d be a bit much 😂. I feel bad already that she made her bed like 7 times just to show us what they look like on.
Also I feel like the real test would be sleeping in them and actually seeing how that feels.

A method that has been around for generations: put your duvet neatly spread out on the bed, then turn your duvet cover inside out, put your arms in the cover, grab the top corners of the cover and duvet from the inside and then ... shake it! It takes some practice and remains (especially for the smaller person) a bit of a hassle.

The problem with 100% polyester bedding is that it gets really hot (so the exact opposite of what you predicted). It doesn’t “breathe” at all, so as soon as your body starts to heat up, it traps all the heat under the covers and becomes like a sweat lodge.
This is the only time I've ever yelled "fitted" and "flat sheet" at a screen. I sound like my mom. Mia help...

sheets that are "sooo soft" like the pink set are nice because they're, y'know, soooo soft! lol. BUT especially if you're a hot sleeper or living in an apartment where you can't control the temperature, they're brutal because they just get way too warm....something slicker and more slippery is actually preferable and will help you regulate your body temperature better....you would think soft sheets would be nice but it's actually the more slippery sheets that are better quality, the "soft" sheets tend to be a sign of lower quality, and you'll find yourself getting over-heated.

My mother likes to sleep in a blanket sandwich. She uses blankets as a sheet and a blanket on top. She sleeps next to the radiator and have never heard her complain that it's too hot. To each their own I suppose. 🤷 (That happens in winter where the temperature falls below freezing, that is.

I’ve gotten polyester duvet sets from primark, and they always feel stiff at first, but the more you wash them, the softer they get! So I would suggest washing them before the first use 😊

As a housekeeper for many hotels the second sheet is actually called a flat sheet.
So funny seeing her handle my bed spread lol I LOVE the peaches and bought it myself. Fabric is decently comfortable, kinda cheap but not nearly as cheap as I thought it was going to be. Don't see it lasting ages but that's okay, it's a good price. I will say, however, that I got a queen size and it fits my full sized bed well (probably would be a little small for a queen bed then?) But the pillow cases are tiny. I popped a seam or two myself when stuffing my pillows in there. Still is my favorite bed spread though!
On a side note: Mia, girl, it's a fitted and top sheet 😂

I have a severe sensory disorder and cannot deal with polyester or other scratchy fabrics touching my skin. My bedding is 100% long staple cotton, and my clothes all have to be a good quality cotton. When I touch polyester, it gives me anxiety and I want to crawl out of my skin, it is like fingernails on a chalkboard. I just got a 100% cotton quilt with cotton batting by red land vintage all white quilt and it is the best absolutely best quality. I love the dedication Mia put into testing out all of these bed sets. great job Mia
Girl I’m about to make your life a lot easier when it comes to putting Donna covers on. Flip the cover inside out, put one hand in each of the corners at the top of the cover (not the side with the closure) and grab the top corners of the doona. Shake. Literally the easiest method.

You’ve got. “Fitted sheet” that is fit around mattress. “Flat sheet” lays over the mattress. Decorative pillow cases are called “shams”. Synthetic fabrics like micro fiber or polyester are more prone to make you hot at night. But material types for bedding is a whole nother comment.

If you want to really show us the feel of a fabric you could zoom in real close I think. If we see the knit we can imagine the feel from experience with another piece we do own. Could you try that please?
But I'd never go for polyester, that doesn't breathe. It may feel cool now, but when you're sleeping it will heat up and the moisture and heat can't get out, so it'll be very sweaty. 100% cotton all the way.
I also feel like they were quite thin, I could see the stripe of your pillows through most of them.
As for the price, it's quite low indeed, but for that quality I've seen better prices. The designs are unbeatable though, very on trend. But I've bought covers in local supermarkets or stores that were of an amazing quality and price.
Also local online discounters.

The stripes we see are actually stripes from the pattern on the other side...can only see them on the sets with stripes and almost looks intentional.

A duvet and comforter are different though. A comforter is 1 color or pattern to match the bedding. A duvet is like a comforter but white so that you can put a cover on it.

Most likely was machine oil spilled on it from when it was being stitched. If you notify your supervisor. Your pay would be docked. So I assume the seamstress just ignored it and kept on sewing. As Mia didn’t say it had an odour etc. so I don’t think it was from another person opening it and returning. 😊

I would recommend only using the pillowcases that come in these sets as a “decorative” pillow when your bed is made and use silk pillowcases for the pillow you actually sleep on. It’s so much better for your hair and skin as it doesn’t tug on your hair (causing breakage) or pull on your skin (causing wrinkles).
Love your video! Helpful hint the easiest way to put a duvet in a duvet cover is to flip the cover in side out and match the corner and start to flip it the right way. I use chip clips to hold the duvet in the corners. I'm in charge of bedding visuals at my jobs and it is a time and energy saver.

Yea..that was kinda weird to only have a top sheet come with the set but maybe it's to keep the cost down??? Ya know..ya GOTTA have the matching top sheet to fold down over the duvet or comforter so the bed looks pretty, and you COULD just use a plain white fitted sheet when the background of most of the sets she bought were white anyways..
