This is what happens to your vocals when you're very nervous. I've been there and I feel for the guy.
Feel for Mustii. He must feel so disappointed by this performance. His one big shot and it just didn't work out for him on the night/
He was consistently flat at all the pre-parties. That's what gets me a bit angry, and makes me think that he is just arrogant and didn't even listen to himself afterwards to realize how off tune he was. He had months to improve, and it just feels that he went like "Nope, all's good here - I'm rocking it." and gave us the same bad singing during the live show.
I stand by the fact that this song had potential for a top 5 finish, but everything about the performance did nothing to elevate the song which imo progresses beautifully and the repetition at the end i don’t mind at all. Although the styling was great. It’s such a shame since this was my favourite song of the year but the end result was quite underwhelming, although i still wanted it in the final.
For me this song was the best to listen to on Spotify or something but live it was really disappointing unfortunately
so real because i was listening to this on repeat for days, then i saw it live and was like WHAT IS THIS-
I had the same feeling with the Swiss song as well
If you watch his acoustic performances he actually hits all the notes quite beautifully so he has the range. The staging was just way off and all the moving makes him sound very pitchy. It’s a shame they couldn’t live up to the potential.

imo the Before the Party is Over ending repetition was the only part that sounded good so I'm happy it goes on so long

When i first heard this, i thought "Ok, Belgium have brought some quality again". But then after listening to the song a few times, i was over it. Way too repetitive and depressing, so i totally agree with what you said.

Honestly everythinh was missing with this performance... The staging was so bad considering how much this song already had an impact... the vocals were not good, neither was his outifit really dissapointing and it lacks of IMPACT
