Look, the Pac-man map to celebrate Pac-man's 40th anniversary is cool, but Mojang keeps holding back on what the community really wants; CAVE UPDATES. We just want the game to be more fun without having to pay extra money for maps that, mind you once we are done playing we'll never play again, maps are fun but they don't get played a second time.
Then there's this comment
They call the Power Pellets “Energizers” and the Intermissions “Coffee Breaks”, which is exactly what Toru Iwatani called them originally, and that is an automatic win from me solely because of the sheer attention to detail.

Well unfortunately the mod your referring to (while I'm sure it is well made, haven't actually played it.) is "technically" a knock off. This dlc was an actual collaboration between Minecraft and Namco to celebrate the anniversary of Pac-Man.. "technically" making this the official Pac-Man meets Minecraft experience.
All “Cave Update” jokes aside this actually looks like a legitimate thing Mojang would do. Which, technically they did.
Edit: Mojang didn’t do it, but it’s still impressive for Minecraft.

Edit: i got a lot of replies about my combat and end update suggestion, and first of all i think the end is boring, end islands bearly have anything, the terrain on them is boring(one block and nothing else) and the dragon is easy, this is supposed to be what your whole journey led up to, it's supposed to be an epic final duel, but all you get is a big health bar that sometimes kill you with fall damage(I know it can be difficult for some people but i think it should be more climactic, give it a more diverse set moves) and about combat, i thought, what if instead of having one singular material be 100% best, each item will have unique abilities, that support different ways for combat, like there could be a sword that lets u teleport but doesn't deal a lot of damage, or armor that gives you more XP, or armor that gives you more HP if your wearing the full set, the possibilities are endless! I also thought you could have different dragons and whenever you load up the dragon fight the game randomly chooses a dragon that you will fight, this will increase replayability, also each dragon will drop it's own set that supports curtain play styles, and the dragons will fight you using that play style, and dragon armor should be the peak of the play style it represents, also a dash would be cool but there will be a stamina bar, also different bioms for the end, and better generation for the islands; more blocks, bioms, mobs and structures.

i actually like the 1.9 combat style, because in the 1.8 pvp, wins the person who clicks faster

valen it’s a lot more nuanced than that. Look up w tapping. There is strafing and aim that comes into play, not to mention the different tools that are used while in 1.8 pvp like fishing rod, flint n steel, lava bucket, water buckets, blocks, and so on. If you think it’s JUST about clicking fast, then how do you explain what I just mentioned? In 1.9 they killed the fast paced nature of combat and replaced it with a more casual and survival friendly update. It made combat less fun for competition, which led to a decent amount of people leaving the game.
