Are these videos the actual test questions and answers that you took? I am taking mine tomorrow, 10/14/2024. If they are different, do you have a link to the newest test? Thanks in advance for your help.
There's new questions. The first section only had half of these questions with a total of 10 questions. One of which concerned an aggressive dog. I'm the "third" section, which was the fourth section, there was a consistent theme of "do you act the same way with everyone or do you alter how you act based off of who the people are/the audience." I don't know what the right answers are, but i still passed, but only at a 93.
Yup, I took the test a week ago & can corroborate what you said. I knew that it had been changed, so a few days beforehand, I printed out all of the questions & answers from USPS Mac's three videos & studied them hard in a bid to deduce all of the concepts underlying how the "correct" answers for the previous questions were determined. Thankfully, I still managed to come away with a 98. Don't get down on yourself: 93 is still a very good score. Most applicants probably aren't preparing much, if at all, & I'm guessing the median score for 474 test-takers in general is well below 90. I've also read that more people are failing the 474 than the 473E (the previous exam that's been retired). If you apply to all vacancies within an hours' commute from your place, chances are pretty good that you'll still receive a job offer, especially if you apply to larger post offices where they're looking to hire at least 2-3 new employees. People still get hired with scores in the 80's & sometimes even 70's if the need is high enough. Just stay the course & you'll get there.

I changed a few answers and got 100% on the 474 and 477! Some tips to help others: Don’t go to the sup for anything lol Don’t bother them. Some of these give you two options - you go to the sup directly or ask the customer if they want to talk to the sup. The customer may or may not spend their time talking to the sup…but it’s worse if *you* go to them. They want you to figure it out on your own. Assisting customers and coworkers - remember your time is valuable and you’re gonna be busy. First you give verbal instructions, THEN show the person if they’re still having trouble. Be a team player; if a coworker is struggling, don’t leave them to figure it out on their own. Don’t wait for them to ask you for help. Explain what to do, then assist with the task if verbal instructions weren’t enough. This is a customer service role. Think about how YOU want to be treated by customer service. You don’t want to be told there’s nothing more to be done, that’s not my job, you’re lying, it’s the customers responsibility. You don’t want to hear that and neither do your customers. But it’s still worse to ask your sup! 😂 also this test is for a carrier position…customer service at the post office is there to help the customer with answers you don’t have. As for the personality stuff = be optimistic, thrive in stressful situations/fast paced environments, go above and beyond your minimal work requirements, set the highest goals for yourself, be aware of how others are feeling, hard work = success.
