I personally never doubted the new season. I was recommended blue lock by a friend and was amazed how good this sports anime was. I heard from some people that the animation for the first 1 or 2 episodes of the second season was bad or lackluster, but i never had such thoughts. This second season is amazing just like the first, so much so that i couldn't wait to see more and moved on into the manga a little bit and without spoiling anything things keep getting better and better, trust me.
