    This video is my longest video I have ever done because I wanted to show every step of the process but the other videos won't be as long. Hope you enjoy 👍

    Nice work on the video. I'm just starting my third one of these. I'm now building the chassis and tank separately, and painting them afterwards (I've an airbrush, which makes life much simpler). The final assembly is then just sticking the tank to the chassis, and adding the "catwalk" and the ladders before doing one final paint run. I think you got that last brake line wrong, the part to the left (as you show it on the video) is supposed to go on the other side of that attachment point on the chassis. (the instructions are pretty poor, I agree). For weights, I'm adding 4 or 5 pennies to the tank which seems to give it a nice feel.

      Oh, and buy some sprue cutters!!

      One other thing (sorry), you should have enough "spring" in the side parts of the chassis to add the wheels later. Trying to put them in while gluing the second side of the chassis on is a real pain!

      Thanks for the feedback (sorry for the delayed response). Thanks for letting me know about the brake line, I didn’t even notice. I wish I did also add some weight to mine as well, if I make some more in the future I will add some weight to it. I have just bought a new set of modelling knifes but I will purchase some spur cutters as well.

    That was awesome man. Reminded me when I did that kit build caboose I did a couple months back, and I absolutely loved it. I’d love to do it again. I have a lot build Titanic that I’ve been wanting to get into for ages. Lol. Maybe I might start on that soon. 😂

      Oh I love kit building as well, I have lost count of the amount of kits I’ve build lol. I’m thinking of making a Series on this because I have 3 more that came with this one and I might get some more.

      @@cameronstrainsadventures Nice! Lol. I’m hoping to win another kit build caboose. Night film that if I win it, then eventually, I have a kit build locomotive which I’m very excited for. Once I get an airbrush kit, I’ll definitely get started on that.

      @@skylitejunction5589 nice. I am going to get a kit build loco soon once I have made some more wagons.

    great video... i have made a few of these and most of them derail for some reason have you had any derailments?

    • @cameronstrainsadventures
      @cameronstrainsadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback. Personally I have not had any derailments for this particular one (which surprises me because it was my first ever time building a wagon) but I have just finished building a cattle wagon and that always derails.
      Also, I noticed a notification saying that you have subscribed so I would just like to thank you for that.

      @@cameronstrainsadventures hi np .. i was told on another forum it could be the shallow flanges on the dapol wheels u get. so havent got around to getting some different ones to test them.. if you can get the to run ok they are a brilliant way and cheap way of getting your rolling stock numbers up

    • @cameronstrainsadventures
      @cameronstrainsadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @reakingringpiece ah right, I have noticed that the wheels they give you in these kits are not the greatest but it true what you say that it is a very cheap way of raising rolling stock numbers.

      Have you tried adding weights to the kit? The wagon is very light compared with (say) a Hornby unit. I put a few pennies in the tank at the build stage, but you may get away with supergluing some lead weight to the frame.
