The Borodino is based on a project of “Small battleships” from the early 1950s, known as Design III-III-3,. Unlike the classic projects from the Soviet Navy, these small battleships weren’t named “Project X” like Project 23 or Project 24 due to the fact that they were internal proposals from a private bureau. The designs found support among the USSR Ministry of Shipbuilding but the Ministry of the Navy strongly criticized them. Multiple variants were proposed with a main battery composed of 406 mm guns in various configurations but the general idea was with one or two twin or triple turrets, all forward. The secondary armament would be triple or quadruple turrets with 180 mm or 220 mm guns. The displacement was ranging from 29,000 tons to 49,100 tons. The Borodino itself is based on a design with 2 triple 406 mm gun turrets and a secondary battery composed of a quadruple turret with 180 mm guns. While designing the Project 82 heavy cruiser, the Ministry of Shipbuilding Industry of the U.S.S.R. ordered drafts of a "small battleship"-a ship equipped with 1-2 turrets housing main- and medium-caliber guns and enhanced bow armor. In 1951-1952, nine preliminary draft projects were prepared. One of the projects was armed with two triple turrets with 406 mm guns and was recommended for further development. After Stalin's death, the construction of heavy artillery ships was no longer relevant, and the project wasn't completed. Borodino is named after the village located in the Mozhaysky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 13 kilometers (8.1 mi) west of Mozhaysk. It is the site where the Battle of Borodino took place during Napoleon’s invasion of Russia in the year 1812
This project is known so far as "Proyekt 45" or "Proyekt TsNII-45".. and yes, the game chose variant "III+III-3".. but the 180mm only has 1 quadruple turret for this design.. with a new design of 406mm, and big caliber (/55 Pattern 1949).. than Proyekt 23 ("Sovetsky Soyuz") with 406mm/50 Pattern 1937...

Borodino was conceived when the Soviet Navy suddenly realized that they lack both the cash and the industrial might to build the Kremlin. And even then despite having six main guns the Borodino ended up being heavier and longer than an Iowa. And they said ze Germans were inefficient when it comes to warship construction.
I find it totally disgusting that you have to spend doubloons to get the borodine. I wish the events could get you the amount you need to buy a ship and without Wargaming starving to death.
It's too bad that Wargaming decided to put out the Borodino behind a pay wall instead of making it a campaign ship, considering that Soviet campaign ships are a very rare concept in this game (last one was the Krohnshtadt in October of 2022...22 months ago) For that many Drachmas one could purchase two Tier 7 ships for 500 more (with the choices of Georgia., which is a much better ship and Siegfried and Belfast '43) or avoid Drachma-chasing & simply earn that 70% Off coupon in the Mission tab (you have to win 60 battles in AI or Standard mode) which, for example, can get you a Tier 7 ship for roughly 5,250 doubloons. The Borodino is very good, I know because like many, I rented it and played the hell out of it, but it's still an easy pass for me based on that pay wall.
Hey spartan! Just wondering if you have tried using the new BA commander on Georgia with Paulo and scharnhorst inspirations. Sub 21sec reload with accuracy. It’s so good!
@gabrielgaitan4856 I started playing in June 2021. I loved graf spee so much I quit the game and considered never coming back after learning I missed siegfried. Several years and way to many ships later I am glad I stuck with it. But you bet the first thing I did was unlock it this time. It's everything I ever wanted and more.
They don't. If you use them one at a time, say you have 50 hu ter camos and you use it, it will be 4 5 but next time you play same ship the camo will go down to 49 left unless you permanently attach it to a ship which costs 12 of the camo you want, that starts the camo at 1 then you have to upgrade it with the paint collected. Go on your camos and it will say at bottom of screen either to permanent or turn to paint, I use the UK and US paint schemes for my paint to upgrade the ones I like
Need some advice Iv still got my 70% off coupon not sure what ship to get I'm a BB main mainly use British battleships KVG and Warspite I'm torn between Nelson constellation and Atlantico any help would be appreciated 👍
Atlantico is probably the best choice as it is pretty insane but I love Constellation as for Nelson it is also a great ship at tier 6 so its all up to you
Esse preço pelo Borodino é um abesurdo! WarGame estorquindo dinheiro de seus jogadores. Esse navio ñ vale o preço exessivo. Ñ é um Georgia ( se bem q o preço do Georgea ta praticamente de "graça" ). ~Bom video 👍

I know, right. Its every bloody month now. Look at the BA anime pack, they want over £200 for 2 bloody boats and 5 commanders, the greed is disgusting. The games becoming not pay to win but pay to have an advantage and that's not fair for normal people trying to live but want to play a game they love

So this variant of the 406mm guns was more powerful than the Sovetsky Soyuz’s armament?
I bought yudachi using shipscount and it’s cracked lol. Got my first solo warrior with a kraken in a match.
Noice
lol, I did that last week in a Hermes. Been playing for 5yrs and I get my first solo warrior with a T3 carrier.

The "meet the" series. The best series in Legends.

True
You can get georgia, belfast and siegfried for like 6$, stop ranting everything smh

I recommend using Al Rossiya if you have her. Galler's base trait is kinda useless.
I saw the gameplay of this shed on stream and it burned all the time, after every HE hit.
It’s the Stalingrad hull except the armor scheme, isn’t it?

Classic Wargaming. Refuse to release a russian camapign ship for almost 2 years, instead put one in the game for over $100.
I can't wait to remeet the siegfried. I bet he loves it. Large graf spee that can citadel bbs easyyy.

I stay bow in-and am wrecking players. Its a great ship
Hey spartan! What’s the difference between grouping and dispersion in this game?
Grouping is how tight together the shells are. Dispersion is an elliptical or circle that each turret has to hit in
Grouping is the tendency for shells to stay closer to each other and dispersion is the tendency of shells to go where you aim inside an elipse
omg, no one died in the first 5 minutes. these games really exist :o

Better to get Georgia instead…. Much cheaper too

Whats the sigma ?
No idea
Not a big fan of a battleship shooting 6 shells per salvo
You'll likely not enjoy Georgia or Genisanau then.
And you shouldn't really think of it as a bb. Would be more accurate to think of it as another version of Stalingrad.
It's nothing like stallingrad more like rossiya.
I dont have rosiya but it is the hull of a stalingrad I'm pretty sure
