As a small boy in the Bronx I idolized these guys. They were teenage stars. By the time I reached the age to truly participate, the British invasion had begun and Doo Wop had faded. I have kept up for the next 60 years and still love the songs and the groups. Now they are passing away. I am 73 and hope to be in your audience in heaven one day, as well. You are my father‘s friend for over 65 years, I must’ve saw you perform at least a dozen times and of course the best time was my dad‘s surprise 70th birthday 14 years ago. The last time I saw you perform was on Tuckahoe Road in 2016 but I spoke to you only about seven months ago and I believe my dad spoke to you a few months ago. I’m going to upload my dad‘s 70th birthday chance performing. Just keep in mind is it Before we had good cameras with cell phones I think I was using, a little camcorder so it could be shaky at parts but I want to put it out there anyway. This was 14 years ago so they had the whole crew there once a month up until a few years ago the whole Bronx crew would get together at a little pizzeria in Yonkers, including my dad I had the pleasure of going twice. It’s crazy to think that the people that used to meet for dinner half of them no longer alive. Life doesn’t stop for no one. The one good thing is 1000 years from now people will know who Larry was when they search for doo-wop.
