      Under Siege 2 was launched in 1995.

    Actually, I don't know if anyone's pointed this out, but Medicine is originally from Sex Drugs Rock & Roll. It's also another series of monologues.

    @1narutomaniac I'm sorry I put the wrong information on the previous post. This was from a poetry special on eMpTyV back in the 90s. I"ve posted other clips from that show featuring Gil Scott Heron, Hal Sipowitz, John Hall from King Missile, and others.

    Hey, thanks for the upload. I have this routine on audio but it's the first time I've been able to see EB doing it before an audience.
    Unfortunately the audio track is extremely low. I have everything cranked up to max but can barely hear it. Just for your info.

    I think this is from MTV Unplugged. They did a couple spoken word specials with Bogosian, Gil-Scott Heron, Henry Rollins, Jim Carroll etc etc back in 1994, and judging by the studio set, that would be my guess.

      You are correct and Gil-Scott Heron's performance on the show is on my page too

    Covid vaccine.

    • @531katie
      @531katie ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. The polio vaccine didn’t scare all the snowflakes who just said thank you and didn’t get polio. That was the heavy duty side effect. So why do snowflakes get so worked up over the Covid vaccine. I think I figured it out. You see we have faced whole bunch of deadly viruses in this world but we, especially in America, were spoiled. We always had a competent enough President who didn’t fear a pandemic or view it only in the self centered terms as to how its existence would threaten his legacy or God forbid lessen his likelihood for re-election. Instead we had grownup in the White House who viewed the safety of Americans as a priority exceeding that of his political own political career and who therefore didn’t need to hide the facts from the public who had assumed before #45 a certain baseline, that a president wouldn’t demolish a dept whose sole purpose it was to protect a society from allowing the previously unknown from gaining a foothold by allowing it the time to mutate and stick around long enough to become a significant factor in our lives. It didn’t happen before because we had leaders from either party who put the good of the public before their own personal success and who took an oath to protect Americans and meant it. So when it was President Bush or Clinton or Obama, we faced these same scary unknowns but not by lying or denying them but by respecting the scientific information by following the guidelines and thus it never became noteworthy nor did we ever reach a point where we had to shut down in our own spaces and bear the cost in a million lives gone not to mention the emotional toll and the economic toll of what one inept president forced us to deal with what had barely inconvenienced us if at all w
      before a president tore down the safeguards so we sure as hell had to feel the impact of our initial inaction. But it was worse than strictly inaction. Trump enslaved every one of us in the disastrous results of his selfish refusal to acknowledge what we depended upon him as the one least afraid, least likely to put his head in the sand which in effect left us no choice but to behave as totally clueless as if we were him. He took that choice away from every American when early on we had a choice. There were so many breached norms we’re inclined to overlook this one. This isn’t partisan. I’m not picking on Trump. I’ve never claimed he causes the virus or even that he intended to leave as many of us dead and our economy bleeding to death. But his ineptitude gave us the same results as if he had. Ebola? We faintly recall when and what and that’s precisely how it’s supposed to be. How it could have been this time. But not under a President who dismantled the Covid response team that President Obama left in place and stressed the importance of maintaining…. Until he saw his intense prep on Covid during the transition of his to Trump’s team he saw was falling on deaf ears. Do we blame President Obama for not treating Trump like a
      Baby ? Nope. He had no idea the guy could fail at so basic a level. None of us did and look at what we’re still dealing with. What is 1 million American lives lost and we’re still dealing with the mess he left who knows who is putting danger by stealing confidential top-secret files he thought he could use probably as blackmail material down the line the guy was a grifter we paid the price and we’re still paying. Put nobody for against the polio vaccine so that was a problem with leadership period And one day the cult of Trump will realize that they’ve been had
