I made it!!! I have binge watched your videos from the beginning of Rediviva being born to now! Yes it’s bittersweet! Now I have to eagerly wait for the next episode! It was great watching you grow, and to see where you are now! I will always look forward to your next video, thank you so much for sharing! Nothing but love for both of you! Stay safe!
And to ad something... you are building a ROWING dinghy, salut. I row now every day, sometimes twice, for three months and have yet to spend one penny on gasoline. You could have an electric motor, that's quiet and pretty effficient, but even better is a simple sailing rig planned from the beginning. That is the best of all. Keep on keepin' on.
BEE HACK: Put a dish cloth onto an upturned frisbee, pour water onto the cloth and keep it wet damp. Set it in a shady out-of-the-way place on the boat, and the bees will go directly to the cloth to drink water, and nowhere else on the boat. Help our little friends out! 😎✌👌
Wife got me a t-shirt for Christmas last year. Rest of the family did not get it, but seriously, there is no other channel I subscribe to that brings me "soggy sausage" or bird poo. Everyone here gets it. You guys love life, I am jealous, and I love this. Thank you for all you do. Keep living that life.
As much as i love what you do to share your life, at the same time, as someone who only voyages for myself, i truly wish you would have a long passage and arrival and first weeks WITHOUT having to carry cameras, do editing, and you could just have your lives. Saving everything for everyone else can not be the same as storing the travel in your soul. Selfishly I watch, don't have to dream because I am doing it daily now in the south pacific. While building our boat you did give me inspiration as you are young and I needed a boost sometimes to keep the pace required to get away. I thank you for that. But still I would wish you freedom. Keep on keepin' on.
I'm hiding out below deck in the shade with the fan blowing warm wind on me cause, with the humidity, it's about 108° here in Posada Conception 😰!!! 😆😆😆You definitely caught the last of the " not too hot" Baja summer. Xoxo can't wait to see yall in the fall, if we haven't melted completely by then 😂
It’s been so long been watching you guys from the beginning I’m so happy for you to be living a life. I hope you enjoy yourself and I know you will while building this little dinghy for a red Aviva. Please don’t mind the voice recognition lol Aviva thanks for the footage really cool watching the rays play.
Ruth, it’s time for a book.. when I first started sailing I was reading Lin Pardy’s books of her and Larry’s adventures. I would bet you and Garrett could take a reader on a magical journey..
Love the boat. U guys 2. Narration is critical. Tone important. The slow unveiling, unforeseen. The guitar didn't come out in the first season. Maybe a flashback to the trailer and some planking. Ruth's poetry is always great. Hope you guys always have fair winds and following sea's vicariously leading me around the gulf. B well. Take Care. Peace & Love. Shade !!
Your film making skills are excellent, shots, cuts, pace, music choice and placement, and your VO writing is so wonderful, thoughtful, fun, natural, poignant. You are dong, on a boat, with limited resources and damp cameras, what it often takes a team of pros to do for broadcast TV. Well done. It is great to see such excellent work around such a wonderful adventure. Many thanks.
Great viewing!! Looking forward to seeing the dinghy building project. I built a Nutshell standing lugsail sailing dinghy kit here in the UK over the winter of 1987/88 - 9'6" x 4'6" and looking very much like your project. It served us well until we sadly sold our gaff cutter Greenwitch in August 2022 after 34 wonderful years with the Nutshell following along everywhere we went!! All the best to you both and wonderful sailing for many years to come!!
I can't wait to see you 2 exploring the Great Barrier Reef and Ningaloo Reef, i now you'll love it, and now Redaviiva has proven herself you know you can go there when your ready
I have been watching sporadically since the building process. I just had to say that the evolution and development of your video production skills is notable and every new video is eagerly watched.
Well, my attention span was more than 8.5 seconds. I made it to the outro (lol). I really enjoy your VLOGs. I'd rather watch the two of you scour the hills for shark teeth than watch someone in the Med go to yet another castle. I'm just an outdoor guy. I'm looking forward to the new boat build and then back to the Sea of Cortez. Have a great time over the summer.
My apologies, but I must admit that I haven’t been watching your channel ever since you completed the boat. But this episode came up in my timeline so I decided to check in to see how you guys were faring. I must say that you both are looking very healthy and happy. So glad to see you doing well.
Sweet 7:04 i'm above average, you are the right books or something you're narrating skills are really good your storytelling and stuff it really attracts me to your channel
I’m sorry for the comment I made about your poetry. That was very wrong for me to do. I love you guys and videos. I have been watching since the beginning and will always continue to do so. Hope to see you all someday at the Annapolis boat show in October. Safe sailing.
I've been to Mexico many, times but have never seen it the way Ruth describes it. I could listen to her monologue any time. I've watched you from the beginning and look forward to each episode. Please keep it up. Cheers Duff PS Ruth my last name is also Jolly
A damn good keel hauling for that crew member..thx Ruth for the Ten Towers lead, really enjoying their toons....on that point, when shall we hear you play again G, you play well?
Love you guys Here’s a design/build to add to your list. You need a temporary/fold-down standup height fish cleaning shelf, it would really save your back.
Another uplifting episode, leaving me all smiles. Here in the UK it's actually hot and steamy and thundery, which kind of slows me down these days. I'll miss the Sea of Cortez, but California and boatbuilding sounds good to me too. I shall steal some tips as I intend to build a tender too 🙂
I get that. I also see the weight loss. So glad to hear you are getting back for a while and fully looking forward to the dinghy build. Also also, would like to see the contrast between Baja and San Fransisco. Those are very different worlds, while having a rock throw of distance. Especially with your take on it, now that you've been away from it all.
To control bees we would take a bottle and cut large holes on the sides of the bottle and put sugar water in it and set in a location that is not much traveled
So many times over the past few years I have said, "why didn't I think of that years ago?" BTW thanks for cleaning the lens so I an look into your pretty blue eyes, 😊
I really love your channel. I’ve watched it for a couple years now and am jealous of the freedom that you have. I just watched your latest episode where you just before you went to or are going back to California to build the dinghy. You mentioned that she seashells And bones along the coastline. There were ❤millions of years old. I really wish she would watch Dr. Kent Hovind series on the age of the Earth. It’s a Christian thing. But if I didn’t care for your channel and you guys, I wouldn’t mention this. I just say that out of respect. Thanks for your channel.
I watch 5 sailing channels religiously. This channel, and Ruth spoken narrative is the best out of the five channels
Ruth speaks truth
I agree these two seem so genuine definitely one of my favorites!!!
Hope it's not all charades.
Ruth has a future as a best selling novelist, leading her readers deep into each story
Might be my dream job 🤤
Thanks!
Ruth, you always have the right words for the VO's. You are a legend for us that watch with you VO choices.
Definitely some of the best editing and voiceovers on TH-cam. Please share this channel with your circle and let’s get Ruth and Garret over 100k!
I made it!!! I have binge watched your videos from the beginning of Rediviva being born to now! Yes it’s bittersweet! Now I have to eagerly wait for the next episode! Welcome to the present, Stephen!!!!
🥳R&G
I just found your channel…catching up on the build videos now. Great channel. I love it.

We're going to miss Rediviva but looking forward to a woodworking project. Thanks for bringing us along.

Ruth got an “A” in creative writing ❤
Beautiful appropriate music for the chill/relaxed video. Looking forward to the dinghy/skiff build.
What a peaceful place to hold up...except for the freakin' heat...😁

Your ability to tell your story is topping the charts in this creative content. Keep up the great work❤

Love you guys. Had a accident before you started your build, stuck in bedroom,so imagine how great followin your adventures, helps me😊
WHAT a soft, slow, incident rich nice episode today. Thanks.
A great season. Next one will be grander with the upgrades and comforts.
It’s been so long been watching you guys from the beginning I’m so happy for you to be living a life. I hope you enjoy yourself and I know you will while building this little dinghy for a red Aviva. Love you folks!...."I just filmed an Osprey pooping" Cool! , hearing Garrett off camera "saweeet!", is priceless!
🤣
Ruth, it’s time for a book.. when I first started sailing I was reading Lin Pardy’s books of her and Larry’s adventures. I would bet you and Garrett could take a reader on a magical journey..
I see from other comments the time is right for you to seriously consider a book. There are many young people waiting to be influenced by you guys.
You've always been a good wordsmith, Ruth. However, your narration this week was poetry. Beautiful.
Godspeed.
✌️❤️🚀🤠
First a G. Buhler; next a J. Harris. Great call on building a hard dink! Look forward to your vids & ruminations on the subject.
Your videos are so well done, I always enjoy them and look forward to the next! 😎👍

What a beautiful life. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
I can't wait to see you 2 exploring the Great Barrier Reef and Ningaloo Reef, i now you'll love it, and now Redaviiva has proven herself you know you can go there when your ready
Have watched since long before the "engine episode". Garrett is the perfect foil for Ruth. Love you guys.

Red Right Returning!😊
You both rock!!!!!!! Safe travels
Peace. May God bless you
Triggerfish is some fine eating, anyone one who hasn't had it needs to if you get the chance.
I miss the old red dingy. It just seemed to fit your boat.
We'll have to paint the new build red 😏
