They've lost the good production values long time ago. 90's and early 2000's had so much of great TV footage and well edited/directed. They put way more effort to this back then, proper incar footage from the stages, lots of cameras in the stages as well, not just helicopter or drone footage. Commentating was also much more on point and kept short.
@@ALIENdrifter66 Yes I agree, the whole footage has slightly and sadly become the Julian and Becs 'bla bla' 'Ooooooooooh! ' Show_ It's a shame they dare talk over the 'All Live' codrivers' voices. This must stop_
What I loved the most was how big of a deal the announcers made of “100% renewable fuel” and such and NEVER ONCE SAID WHAT FUEL THAT WAS!!! They care more about wearing a mask than actually producing a real show!
The sound of 4G63T from that Evo 3 reminds me back then 26-25 years ago when it was debuted.... I'm from Indonesia and during those times rally Indonesia was featured in APRC 1995 and WRC 1996 I saw it flying thru the forest sideways flat-out the Evos were driven by Tommi himself with his teammates Kenneth Eriksson in 95 and Richard Burns in 1996 those cars were amazing...

Rally Indonesia was such a fantastic looking event in the jungles !
Guys on the Finnish Audi Club know the guy who built that S1 and said that they're apparently having problems with brake pressures again (meaning they've fixed it already, but there's something wrong again... easy to see when it's that hard to brake with it).
somehow the group a evo just brings more shivers to my spine than the audi. just such an absolutely and completely legendary pairing, the evo and mäkinen.
What a shame that there was no official factory Audi quattro S1 E2 driven by one of the ex-factory drivers i.e. Stig Blomqvist, Walter Röhrl, Michelle Mouton. Or the Audi 200 Quattro that was Hannu Mikkola’s final WRC Podium Finisher in honour of his memory.
This could have seen better coverage. While it has fun commentary and was broadcasted live, I feel TH-cam "amateur" channels have better views of the action and better pacing and editing.
I loved how they talked about the Evo iii saying how you could go and see it in the show room and it looked like the rally car yet the Evo didn't come to Europe till the Evo 6 🤣🤣 who even are these people
I don’t like the new WRC coverage . its mostly talking , interviews and very little actual racing. In Comparison to 1990-2010 , interviews at the end only , very little bla bla.
The one car I clicked on this video for, the Gt4, showed 2 seconds of it, come on WRC be more organized you're only spending thousands for this event 🤣
Well. I was expecting a good line up of old cars, but again. To much chat and not enough cars, just like the TV highlights. The coverage was much better in the 70s, 80, and early 2000s and they showed more of the midfield runners not just the top drivers.
There was problem with this S1 brake balancer, but Petri Opas (the driver) still wanted to give and show "everything", and not just safely drive littlebit slowly around. So i give big credits for that to Petri.
@@VestfoldCustomsFI well.. on every clip i have seen.. he drives the same way... so the brake balancer have been broken since the car was finished?? or is it that he is afraid of driving the S1 as it should be driven if he would wreck it
I would never thought that i will see Tommi back in his Mitsubishi. :)
makinen with mitsubishi!
kankkunen with toyota!
i remember golden era @wrc (1990〜1999)
thank you uploading!
from japan
group b was golden era
1987-1997 was Group A
Wrc 1998-2005 was the first great Era of WRC
group b is overrated lmao

Fantastic to see the group B cars again and see some legends driving them
70th anniversary and you missed most of the cars for interviews...nice to see 2secs of Celica rolling to finnish line.
WRC+ is always like that, too much talk and few images of the actual cars

@ thank you bro... I agreed...
Good too see Tommi behind the wheel again,
that Mini is a great step in the future of rallying
40 years of motorsport. The "future" is without me.
Totally AWESOME!!!!! Rallying as it should be... So nice to see the Audi, Mitsubishi and the stars driving them!!!! :)
I love seeing my Audi being used again in the WRC....
Great coverage!
Happy the Secto MINI is still ICE power: Sound is such a part of motorsport!
Tommi really-really spot on
The two legends that are Tommi Mäkinen and Juha Kankkunen. Ok Tommi spun and Juha was driving a road car but it was good to see them in 'action' again
Loved seeing the Evo III coming out to play
Why is everyone talking so much?! There is no need. Just be quiet and let the cars do the talking.
YES! I just want to hear these classics hum
Thank you!
OMG the evo 3 is my dream car🤩🤩
Hope you don't meet your hero car.
Thanks for this.
This is amazing!
Terima.kasih....WRC 🙋♂️
Tommi Fantastic Show!👍🤠
Made me literally cry.

Renewable fuel mini was surprisingly good!
❤GR Yaris & Juha Kankkunen!

Is that Mini a Rally2 Kit?
Molly surely liked to be a co-driver of Juha :D
Brutal
can Petro Opas put some pictures on TH-cam showing how he built the Quattro,I think its fantastic and I am not a great Audi fan.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
cool video

Where's the Lancia Delta Integrale?
Surely the most successful group A rally car.
Juha!!!
YEAH!
weird that tommi is driving the mitsubishi evo but he is wearing the toyota gazoo outfit and not his old mitsubishi outfit...
instead of just the word legends, they should also be hailed as Heroes....

Que maravillosos eran los coches!!!!
Where are the people? the crowds?
Covid ate them
Nah, covid didn't do that much in Finland. I'm pretty sure most of them were already (or still) in the woods.
I wish if henri was here :(
Good god - show the bloody cars stop interviewing everyone at the stop line!!!!!!

They've completed failed to mention that the WRC will be using 100% renewable and synthetic fuel next year.
I want GR Yaris now...
S1 wheels wtf?
It was used at ex-works quattros, just search for info better
Tommy cmon, u can do it better :d :d
Nah it was technical issues, clutch went bad right after the launch so he couldn't disengage it at all and then the handbrake got stuck too
The one car I clicked on this video for, the Gt4, showed 2 seconds of it, come on WRC be more organized you're only spending thousands for this event 🤣
