The Passat has an electric parking brake whereas the V70 has a hand brake which is pretty useless if you live somewhere hilly (like any drum in disc parking brake). If there’s anything specific between the 2 you’d like my opinion on just ask.
Yes, not so sure how I’d feel about using the backwards seats but I guess the odd time wouldn’t be so bad. You can also get 7 seats in the E class estate of that era.
Thx for sharing the how-to remove bumper and replace headlights... my old 2006 V70 get the same bad look and this is causing a problem at night where the lighting is not that good enough. What is your experience with these aftermarket ones after some time ? We see you struggle with some unexpected space between the new fitting and the bumper, is it due to their different shape ?
You’re very welcome! These lights I have I don’t think they’re very bright but I may be used to BMW HID lights being so much better. I think if I changed them again on the V70 I’d go for aftermarket projectors instead of standard ones. I think the fitment was terrible because they’re a cheap copy.

I did polish the lenses 3 times before replacing them but I never lacquered them which may be why they didn’t last. They were close to failing the MOT so I just replaced them this time as I don’t have the patience many others are blessed with.
@@IAMASPANNER Hi Tolly, yes changing bulbs is a nightmare, the passenger side (UK) model isn't too bad as it's simply a job of removing the airbox which allows easy access, but the offside is a nightmare, because of an electronic box of some sort which just makes it almost impossible to get access to the bulb with any control over what you can do !
