Hi, Greg. If I'm not mistaken what you're describing is the special order "chambered" exhaust which would mean there were two chambers between the def. and gas tank. Don't know your particular car but that's how they came from the factory.
@@alexgolovchenko3791 My Z did not have the optional chambered exhaust. I purchased it from the original owner in December of 1970, and it was completely original, except for 8 inch wide Corvette rally wheels. I distinctly remember the two oval rectangular resonators.
@@gregborneman5523 Hey Greg, thank you for corresponding. What you wrote is very interesting, the units you described almost sound like California spec catalytic converters. What do you think, I'm interested? I just love talking about cars. Regards, Alex G.
@@alexgolovchenko3791 My Camaro was built in Norwood, Ohio. As some know, Chevy was late getting the 1970 Camaros introduced, and made the '69 models for a brief time longer than normal. I'm pretty sure my '69 was a late production car, and might have had some features not seen on earlier '69s.
@@gregborneman5523 That makes perfect sense. A similar discussion arises concerning the rear bumperettes on the '69\'70 Z/28's. I have it on good authority that of the 19,200 Z's produced in that body style, a small number of them escaped the factory without the rear bumperettes. What's your take on that debate?
Nice Z Jay. At 17 lucky me ,my friend had a new one he was afraid of so he would let me drive to do burnouts and race it. I can testify that motor could take a beating. I'd love to hear how that muffler got smashed. Don't remember those safety bumpers though.

Beautiful car .
Jay, I know I'm 6 months late but did you look at the muffler? Twisted out of shape like that looks like unburned gas entered and blew it up.
I'm a Chevy fan.. &this Cameron is gorgeous is one of my dream 🚗
By far nicest Camaro .
69 is a One off like 70 Hemi Cuda.
Penicle of American Muscle.
I’m not a big Camaro guy but I am a big 1969 guy, everything was better that was built that year & this is a beautiful car !😀
Man O man this car sounds husky and looks great !👍🏽
Beautiful car and the colour.
In addition to the transverse muffler, my '69 Z/28 had 2 resonators between the manifolds and muffler.

Beautiful Z well equipped Cortez Silver glad they went with the blk interior white would throw the whole color contrast off Sweet Ride 😋
#1 car from a time we will never see again
Awsome car from the batcave 🦇 thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum 😊 😊
That's the car to have.
Looks like you need to fix the backup lights too, they were on as you drove away
❤
My brother who worked for GM forgot he had a cross ram in my folks basement. It was sold many years ago
Love the color on them.
Nice Camaro. No a/c if it was available as an option.
Wasnt. GM put no ac on solid lifter cars
WOW‼️😲 This little baby puts the M in Muscle Car‼️🇺🇲😎
Love that car 😍
This is the one. Wow!
When you were driving forward the reverse lights were still on.

My goodness, what a car!
Talking about Holy Grail, if you could find a cross-ram today try 25k and up, the most desirable muscle car on the planet thanks Jay.
You lost me when you said the cowl tag states this should have the ivory deluxe interior.
69 z/28 was never made in a convertible.
I beg to differ … my friend Max Herring had one … white w/ black convertible top … awesome car !!!
$137,000??!! 😱😱🤔
No thanks.
I'll take the new Z06/Z07 optioned NEW VETTE for that much money any day! 😆
You won’t see too many of these cars driving around especially w that crossram
Just the restoration alone would have been close to $100,000. These crossrams ARE very rare. Beautiful in Cortez silver.
This will catch way more attention than a new vette
@@jonathand3613 absolutely!!
The sad thing is in the near future these beautiful cars may not even be allowed on our streets.😞😞
There are some cross rams with original carbs selling for 35K ! Online
Not stuck on that roof rot vinyl.
The vinyl roof really put me off, not on a race car?
no way over 400hp, high 300s maybe
Probably 350/375 tops. These engines were not known for putting out lot's of torque.
Beautiful
I prefer my mufflers kinky lol
How much $ Jay?
15 city 25 hiway in feet🤣
BEUTIFULL BEUTIFULL 69
🙏👍😍♥️
