    I drove 2400 miles to see them in Atlanta and Dallas. Both shows were excellent and I would gladly do it again given the chance. The autograph singing line in Atlanta was the biggest anyone had ever seen and their merch sold out in record time. Just a great experience. 🤘🤘🤘

      Yeah so you were able to get some unfinished business taken care of with Asami yeah if you were in Atlanta like I was and I had to drive 300 miles in 5 1/2 hours so you know what I was talking about when if you attended the autograph signing you were one autograph short.

      Yeah unfortunately she wasn’t feeling well in Atlanta and VIP tickets were sold out in Dallas , so I’m still one signature short.

    Something else to think about with regards to these shows.
    1. There is no way that we should expect for their first tour of the Western Hemisphere that they are going to bring their entire set with them. Without knowing any information for how in demand they are, they are not going to bring Haruna's full drum kit, Miyako's keyboards, keytar, and Grand Piano with her, which would require a venue that would hold a few thousand people. That's a huge risk for if no more than 500 people show up. That is one reason why they went with smaller venues.
    2. Compare two other bands here: Nightwish, and Babymetal. When they announced their N. American tour shortly after COVID lifted, Nightwish only scheduled 3 SHOWS: Toronto, Boston, and Los Angeles. That was it. Yes, they were able to schedule smaller venues afterwards, but 3 shows for their entire N. American tour, and people were complaining about 4 shows with LOVEBITES. As I stated before, 1 person from Connecticut made it to all 4 shows. Babymetal's 1st tour was all small venues, as once again, they tested the waters. Even their 2nd tour (The Avengers, after Yui left and Mikio had died) was small venues. It can be done.
    3. The smaller the venue, the more intimate the setting. at the SF show, a lot of us were able to get up close and personal with the band (read: lots of personal interaction). The same could be said about the shows at Dallas and Los Angeles. A lot of us would prefer the intimate shows more than bigger venues and audiences (which will come). But they have to grow the base here that they don't have, which as I said, they are trying to do by testing the waters.

    Even though the Echoplex is a pretty small venue more like a club room if I have to be honest, it's these intimate shows that are worth every penny! I was able to be by the front of the pit close enough to the stage where the band was literally an arm's reach away from you. Then we had the meet and greet after the show where I was able to make small talk with the girls and thank them for the show. I have the feeling next time they come back to the states the venues will be bigger and we might not even get meet and greets as the band will be more mainstream and it just logistically wouldn't make sense since they will at least double the amount of tour dates. I would love to see them live again but this time in a stadium show.

    They really should have did festival type of shows throughout the nation...
    Were multiple progressive bands would be there and their audience will see this new generation of metal

      I do believe we may have been one of the largest as Atlanta held about 1100 people

    Two of the smaller venues sold out right away so they upgraded to a larger venue (Dallas and LA). One of the two larger venues sold out again (LA), and the other was nearly sold out (Dallas). I know at least one person attended all 4 shows. The other complaint was they severely underestimated how much merchandise to bring to the shows because in Atlanta they sold out of everything within the first 90 minutes of opening and many people left empty-handed. It may have been the same at the other venues.

    • @Jkoziol72577
      @Jkoziol72577 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The one I went to sold out 11 months ahead of schedule it was also the biggest attendance as it held almost 1100 people. And your chance of interacting with the band was highly likely because everybody was within the same few blocks the only thing I did not like was the situation with the autograph signing how we missed one member and then they went from a picture and three items down to one item and no picture.

    • @Jkoziol72577
      @Jkoziol72577 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Well the day they performed a lot of it was literally sold out within minutes. Of people entering a lot of the ones that were goldmember or VIP pretty much bought multiple items and then turn around and sell the stuff online for damn near $100 which was crazy.

      Wasnt Atlanta the ProgPower festival? That's probably why the merch sold out so quick cause at a festival I'm sure your limited on merch to bring being with many other bands

      @@Jkoziol72577yes that was Atlanta at Prog Power. Asami wasn't feeling well and wanted to save her voice for the show so she skipped the autograph session. They had to limit the items because the queue was the longest they had seen in over 15 years. The line went out the door and down the street and then around the corner.

    Where are the show "highlights" as mentioned in your thumbnail ? Also, fans' "reactions" include how they truly enjoyed the shows and the reasons why they did so, it's not just about venue sizes.

    Here in Los Angeles the small club they chose was not the most preferable .
    By the time they got here the girls seem tired and a little annoyed..
    Although there are pros they could put it on automatic pilot pretty much..
    I find some of these bands come to Hollywood and do not pick some places that are the best to showcase themselves.. I believe Love bites did miss the mark on the venue.
    For a smaller band it would have been a perfect venue.
    I swear you not this band is such a pro musician ,Prog metal.. perfect in so many different ways

    Take into consideration that the US was part of a world tour that included the UK and Europe along with shows in Japan and Korea.
    And you also have to take into consideration that concerts cost money to stage, I am guessing that most of the cost was covered by the band and their management, to play bigger venues a promoter would need to come along to cover a lot of the cost.
    International bands who are not overly well known normally play small venues to begin with no matter what country they tour, Lovebites may be reasonably popular with TH-cam reactors but their popularity outside that is not that high, I would guess.

    It’s a marketing campaign for LOVEBITES, they don’t make any money from touring in the USA! The revenue won’t even cover their expenses for traveling, visa’s and other expenses!

    My show that I went to was the first show Progpower which was a four-day music festival probably was the biggest turnout. Because they hold 1050 this includes over 700 seats add the rest of people would be in the pit area. Add things were a little strange about the whole scenario with the autograph signing missing Asami as possible illness or jet lag. And they had to move the location of the autograph signing cuz they were expecting a lot of people but then they got overwhelmed as how many people actually showed up. We were originally allowed to bring three items and then get pictures eventually it went down to heaven only one item and no pictures and of course missing one member. . This event was also sold out 11 months ahead of time because the tickets went on sale last October. At originally we thought this was going to be only show which is why there was such a huge turnout. You would think this is where they would have made their money because of the high attendance but also consider this was a four-day music festival with one stage in about 40 bands total. But it is quite possible the band may have lost some money for this entire tour to test the market because of how small the venues were at the other three shows. I would say Atlanta was probably the best show out of all of them because the hotel accommodations that the venue recommended were within the same 5 or 6 hotels near the theater where the festival took place. Chances that you would run into people in your favorite band including Love bites was probably about 90%. As we only the same two coffee houses one bagel shop and one grocery store that everybody fans and bands all went to . And a lot of us have ran into them in several occasions in passing whether we were shopping or going by hotels and they seem to actually really friendly to all their fans which is totally awesome.

    Anybody coming to LA and you're this size should be playing The Wiltern theater..
    Can hold 5000 people
    .. these small clubs are horrible to showcase yourself

      They were not sure about the turnout to the shows as this was their first time in the Western Hemisphere let alone the world, so they were testing the waters, hoping that someone would show up. Needless to say they were absolutely shocked that every venue sold out. Dallas and Los Angeles had to move to bigger venues, and even those sold out. But it did create the hype to get to the shows. I was at the Cafe Du Nord show, and someone from Connecticut made it to all 4 shows. They will be coming back for sure.

      They need to do show closer to where I live I would probably either think the social which is a small place in downtown Orlando or House of blues holds a little bit more people but it will make them easier when it comes to going and visiting Disney world and you know miyako's going to want to go to the Star wars section cuz if she can build her own R2-D2 and lightsaber she would be in heaven.
