The names of the dancers should be included in the video description. Ryan François, Remy Kouakou are both awesome, inspiring dancers and great lindy-hop/swing instructors as well. Brilliant video!
I know it’s been 10 years since you made this comment citing the dancers… but thank you for this… Someone needs to make Remy a Wikipedia page too. You’ve inspired me to start checking out their work and I’m already few videos in. ❤️
@@TitaniumTurbine Ten years already. Oh wow, I didn't realize this! I'm not sure how well lindy hop dancers are represented on wikipedia, but there's certainly a lot to be done & written. There's a very rich & fascinating history behind all the moves, and the dance in general. I'm glad my comment was useful to someone. :)
10 years ago I was listening to this song often on my walks around my college campus. Experienced major heartache, joy, escapism, and growth from then up until now. The feeling this song brings has remained the same.
If there is anything more beautiful than a black guy dancing it's two black guys dancing. Incredibly beautiful as is the black dude I am lucky enough to live with even if he does call me whitey!
One of the most perfect songs ever written, that sole piano note persists throughout and then at the end it becomes that melancholic melody to finish the song. UTTER GENIUS.
My daughter just showed this to me. It made an immediate impression. This is stunning!!! It makes me want to cry! But not sad cry... the happy kind... with hope and innocence. How incredibly precious! After 30 years of goth and grunge this is like ocean air... Clear ... a tinge of seaweed and barnacle ... life nontheless. It (the music, the video) all hangs together so well... the nostalgia for an innocent time of goodness for America and Britainnia ~ the early 1960's. There was hope then... everything was wide open ... you could dance exuberantly ... you could go anywhere... there was always tomorrow.
darkmaitri I think I know what you mean. I miss the sixties and my dirt poor bedsit in Bayswater. No matter, I had London to explore and loved every minute of it. Still, they say you cant go back... oh well.....
Modern day legends of Jazz dance, Ryan Francois and Remy Kouakou Kouame paying a great tribute to original legends of Jazz dance, Al Minns and Leon James. Beautiful.
OH me too! It is so uplifting and pure of heart. I just CANT stay down or blue or mad when hear this spirited little tune and I watch these two wonderful people just enjoy life and openly HAPPY and full of joy. By the end I am touched and smiling every time brand new.
This is what perfection is. Congratulations to all for the beautiful harmony you created: Choreographer and Dancer Ryan Francois. Dancer Remy Kouakou Kouame. Director: Lucy Needs. Music Slow Club.x
I must to admit that I had a chance to see The Slow Club live and I rather fell in love with their supporting band Stealing Sheep from Liverpool .... but it is now only a story! now I Love them because they play pure pleasure!
This is easily some of the most beautiful dancing (Lindy Hop and Charleston I believe, but I’m no expert) I’ve ever seen. These men are absolutely amazing. Gorgeous moves, beautiful flow and style. If I could learn just one move half as well as these gents…. I’d forever be a proud man. It would be my dream to learn from them. Really gentlemen, you are amazing. I look up to you.
@2:11 was in perfect sync lyrically and visually, because most people don't know the name of the guy dancing with passion, but he's making a name for himself within the moment.
These two performers make me, in some peculiar way, feel happy. Their dance style looks carefree and jovial, free and independent. I guess it's best described as "Aesthetic Fun." Slickest dudes ever.
IT MAKEY ME SOO HAPPY HAPPY! No really something about this lovely piece is so inspiring. I feel pure joy every time I see it. And I see it a lot. I love it more every time.
I listen to this song when I'm at the gym from TH-cam. It is the best feeling ever as I prance around the place trying to attempt these moves while other people stare at me with a very confused expression on their face. Love you Slow Club :3
Love this song and video....I watch it all the time. In case anyone is wondering, they are performing different types of the Charleston dance from the 20's and 30's...and doing it well!
INDEED I watch it very often and does indeed make one feel VERY happy and hopeful and smile so good. I love it. Somehow it lifts the spirit. I am glad it is not just me!
I show this to my NY students to teach them about working together and perseverance. Why wouldn't you no matter where you live? The FUNNIEST thing about it, is that one of my students, Teddy, looked a whole lot like the second dancer to come into the video. I knew the kids would flip out, and they did the first time they saw it. This video became a "reward": to get to watch right before dismissal, if they'd met their daily goal. God, i loved that class...it was at least 4 years ago......
Fantastic proof that some (maybe all) of the best video ideas are utterly simple. Like Azalea Banks '212' or Sinead Oconnor's 'Nothing Compares 2 to U'. It's all in the execution. The attention to detail. This is fucking beautiful.
I have seen this delightful video so many times and it always lifts my spirits and makes me smile. And in reading the comments, I love how happy it makes everyone.
can't tell you why this is my favorite music video! the message I took from it is probably not the message it's conveying, but I always saw this as two people who are having more fun dancing when they're together. like everythings always better when you aren't alone. even the stuff that makes you the happiest
Insanely beautiful song. This makes it easy to escape the world to my happy place. Thank you Show Club & Moshi Moshi Music. A rare treat to have a music video that enhances the music. 10/10
Loved the song instantly (1st time I Heard it). Great Lindy Hop/Charleston dancing, which is one of the things I do in my spare time. Not anything close to that, though, and I never will achieve that level of proficiency. Lindy Hop and Charleston are great: you bring in a lot of humour. You are allowed to be silly. I'm definitely going to look up more songs with this group.
The names of the dancers should be included in the video description. Ryan François, Remy Kouakou are both awesome, inspiring dancers and great lindy-hop/swing instructors as well. Brilliant video!

Me realizing today I've taken dance lessons from Remy who is in this video I love so much!!
@@HolaEstrellas When I had lessons with him, he mentioned working on this video. That is how I found out about it.
This song brings tears to my eyes... everytime I hear it.

I worked on the production of this. Day to remember.
Charley Hullah I'm so jelly. Timeless. Seven years plus past, and realize even more than before the significance. TY!
Wow it is my #1 favorite. I've been on this a long time too. 😌 thank you for this contribution to my life big time
Possibly the best video to the best song ever. Bang on,
Envious as fuck mate. Amazing. Well
Done, also
I feel like I know what I'm talking about when I say this is the greatest music video of all time
This has taken up so much meaning for me the further we are from its original release date. Time flies.
Time sure does fly. I was 21 when this came out and that feels like forever ago
This kind of videos, restore my faith in the humanity.
The styles of dance in the video are a mixture of aerials from Lindy Hop, solo Jazz, Charleston and Swing in case anyone was wondering. :)
Thank you! I recognized some of it being Charleston, but I didn't know what all the other stuff was. (:
Gabrielle, look up Al Minns and Leon James on TH-cam to see this vid's inspiration.
Trickeration Thanks! I'll be happy to check them out
I was, thanks!!
I was, thanks!

Still one of my favorite music videos of all time. Still watching in 2017.
Hi from 2024, still watching? Cause I do.
Can every music video be like this? Seriously, just these two guys dancing to music. It's all I need.

WHOA! What a surprise! I had no idea what I'd clicked on. One of the best things I've ever seen/heard. GO Slow Club (whoever the hell you are)!!
THe combination of their dancing and this song is PERFECTION
This is supreme. It makes an absolute laughing stock of your heartstrings. Beautiful music.
Can't stop watching this video, it's out of this world!
This is the best music video I have seen in years
OH me too! It is so uplifting and pure of heart. I just CANT stay down or blue or mad when hear this spirited little tune and I watch these two wonderful people just enjoy life and openly HAPPY and full of joy. By the end I am touched and smiling every time brand new.
Came here just for the video but now I'm loving the track. I could watch this all day long. Sooo smooth.

The 58 second mark is f'ng amazing, the music, the mood, the move. Incredible dancing, insane editing.
This is wonderful! Very Classy, and you don't see people dressing or dancing like this anymore.
I will never quite understand why this is my favourite film clip of all time. But it is!
Beautiful and amazing track...And the dancin' aint bad either.....smile....
god I love this video. I come back every few months and watch it
I must to admit that I had a chance to see The Slow Club live and I rather fell in love with their supporting band Stealing Sheep from Liverpool .... but it is now only a story! now I Love them because they play pure pleasure!
Faith in music restored!!!!!!!
Every Slow Club song is a brilliant song, such a good band!

this video always puts me in a good mood. i smiled through all of it.
The music makes the dancing amazing, and the dancing makes the video amazing.
I can't stop watching. I want to dance like this!

I feel like this kind of makes everything wonderful again. After listening to this, I feel like I can start anew. Thank you.
Favorite music video ever, best dancing xx
This is simply one of the happiest, most life-affirming things I ever see:-)
Beautifully shot, free dancing, and the song had mystery to it. This is definetly 'Like' worthy.

I cannot get enough of this.
I know what you mean. I've seen this video so many times... It's one of the most beatiful things i've ever seen.
the song itself is amazing. adding the 2 male dnacers in the video makes it beyondd that! sooo amazing
This is awesome to watch.
It's like watching an old vaudville act.
Love this song and video....I watch it all the time. In case anyone is wondering, they are performing different types of the Charleston dance from the 20's and 30's...and doing it well!
Cutest dance duet ever!!
Can't wait for Ryan Francois to lead the workshops with us, what a man, what a choreographer & what a dancer truly underrated - so honoured
INDEED I watch it very often and does indeed make one feel VERY happy and hopeful and smile so good. I love it. Somehow it lifts the spirit. I am glad it is not just me!

An anthem to brotherhood and happiness!
Kind of obsessed with this song at the moment...
