Thank you for posting this. Looking forward to seeing your impressions with these. One thing to remember is, If you use these in the Fermzilla under pressure (typical & useful UK Lager method) this will throw the readings out!!
I am a member in the RAPT PILL Facebook owner's group. Some people have major issues getting them running, or keeping them running. I must be lucky as my two Pills and Temp Cogtrollers have never had issues.
Hi @irishdave4322, thank you for your comment. I am in day 3 of my first test, a Kale wash. I did a manual gravity reading yesterday and compared it to the Pill's reading. They were 0.001 different! So far it looks good. Sadly I can only do one wash at a time, so will take me a few weeks to do several tests. I will upload a follow-on video as soon as I can.
I've just bought two Rapt pills. I also bought the wireless charging kit. I would highly recommend converting them to wireless charging. It will mean you don't have to open the unit causing where to the seals and risking damage to the unit. I asked kegland before I purchased if they would be releasing a wrapped pill with wireless charging straight out of the box. Unfortunately they told me they had no plans to do this at the moment.
Hi @davec4955, I couldn't agree more, it would be great if Kegland sold then together already assembled. It would mean that from day 1 the customer (so us) would never need to open them up.
My friend couldn’t get it to work right so he sent it to me. It’s doing the same thing for me. Trying to calibrate it but it keeps floating on its side and shutting off. And actually it’s only because of your video that I realized why it’s turning off. I’m charging the battery right now and am going to double check if I had the unit properly inserted into the waterproof “pill”.
Good luck. Please let me know how you go. Kegland are looking into other ways to switch it off by use of the accelerometer. One idea they have is if the Pill is shacked for a few seconds it puts it to a sleep mode. They have many great ideas, the Pill and Temp Controller will get better over time I am sure (even though it is really good now!)
@@brewingadvice I figured out that I didn’t have the battery facing the correct way and I didn’t have it pushed all the way down inside the tube so that was causing it to float more on its side. I’ve got it all calibrated now and might be using it as soon as tonight! Thanks for the advice 😎👍🏼

That is a very good point @draughtsman1973.
It was painful to get mine setup to work on the cloud , but I got there at the end

I am curious now if you think they work well and are worth the cost.
I am looking forward to seeing your next review.
