I just got one of these for $30 (half price as of xmas '22) in a Black Friday sale at walmart. It's actually close to being on par with my $200 Bose SoundLink II+ (curious why you'd do a sound demo in a video, since we can't actually hear that speaker (well I can, but I own one) Bottom line, even at $60 I would buy this.
thanks for the review, liking and subbing, especially for that water test. about the battery - how long does it last at full volume and the bass boost?
Thanks a lot. And honestly I don’t remember at this point. It’s been so long since I reviewed it. I apologize but I don’t want to give you the wrong answer. The battery life is very good though. It’s nothing I worry about personally
The decibel Meter was a nice touch. Seems like a tough little speaker. Do you think if it fell of a table that the LED rings might break, just curious.
Uhhhh. Depends on what it lands on and from what height. It's rugged and seems durable but I would be hesitant about dropping any electronic onto concrete or a hard floor. Likely it would survive 3-4ft
I just bought 5 of them on sale at Walmart for $29 dollars each!! And the lights are made of rubber I don't think they will brake but probably they can get scratches at most and the speakers itself is wrapped on a fabric kind of material! The sound is nice but I feel when you put the volume all the way up with the bass boost, the sound is a little distorted, but overall is a good speaker!
If you have the flare plus I would say stick with it, unless you want the extra light ring and feel like buying a bunch of them to connect together. You're going to get more power out of the Flare, plus the larger battery. If you didn't have one already, the Flare 2 is a nice speaker to pick up.
@@TechOdyssey Thank you. I have two of the Flare plus but did not know if I'm missing out on Flare 2 or the Flare S plus. I definitely want USB C but if all it is is an additional light display, I'll stay put. Keep that great content coming. Thanks again.
Flare 2 or flare plus? I have both of the Soundcore Icon and Plus, bit I'm wondering if I should get the Flare Plus and return the Icon Plus. Any advice?
It has an aux cord for input ***** wrong information*** sorry. I got confused. I was thinking the original flare. No. It doesn't have a 3.5mm Jack. I'm sorry for giving you the wrong information
Sure. You can use it for that. I'm sure a non-waterproof speaker that isn't 360 sound and focuses more on up front sound would be more ideal, but this is a good multipurpose speaker.
@@TechOdyssey Yeah right there you said something I didn't really think about.. It's maby not the best choice for movies to have the sound go 360° I'm going to search if I find something better but I think this one is great aswell!! Thank you for the fast answer..
@@TechOdyssey I hope you could show that in your next review. Would like to see those lights respond in stereo mode just like in the first Flare version to see proof.
The Bluetooth signal isn't strong enough under water. It's breaking up. If there was a shut-off mechanism, if would shut off. I like this speaker, but really have no use for the dopey lights. I'd rather pay less and have no lights but have them put the Aux-in jack back.
Great video! The speaker looks dope! Love the new set up you have going on. Taking things to a whole new stratosphere man.

It only stop while swimming in the water, because the bluetooth connection doesn‘t work under water... Amazing Speaker.
Glad you took the time for this review while aboard the ISS. 🤓 great review Adam!
haha. Thanks, Joe. Yeah, it's beautiful up in space. You can see for miles... erm... light years.
😂😂
Thank you for that detailed review. I love this speaker.
I‘m a big Soundcore fan! You could review the Morion+, it‘s an amazing speaker! Really informative Video. Thumbs up!
Awesome amount of playtime... awesome video, green screen turned out well 👍
Thanks man. I appreciate it.

Its the Bluetooth disconnecting when it goes under water
It's not disconnecting, the signal is being interrupted by the water. If it disconnected, you'd have to pair again.
Love that speaker! Awsome video! Came out great!.
Thanks, man. I appreciate it.

@@questionmark8504 awesome, thanks for the feedback 👍
@contractors POV no problem brother, the sale right now at Walmart is $59 I believe just in case you want to get one!
Great review. How does it compare to the Flare plus? Worth upgrading? I know that the Flare plus finally got the equalizer update for customization.

Thanks for the review. Can the lights be turned off while listening to music or do they have to be on all the time?
It can be turned off
For the price sounds like an amazing deal. $60 for Black Friday.

@@TechOdyssey it does??? I thought they had removed the aux port with the 2
@@Yt_ShadowBannedme no. It doesn't. I misspoke above and just edited it. It only has USB-C. No 3.5mm. Sorry for the confusion
Recommend me fast charging or normal charging??

Does Flare 2 have Stereo mode when paired with another Flare 2?
Yes

Is this better then my UE megaboom? (2015)
Hi is this speaker sound good for stereo sound I wanna know cuz I buying two soon
Pls can u connect it to a laptop? I’m about to purchase it and I need answers pls
With an auxiliary cable and Bluetooth, yes
@@TechOdyssey Nope. There is no Aux port on this model.
What kind of charger need to be use???
really nice!
Thanks!
Is that good for outdoor?
Yup!
lol
Is there streaming lagging ?
Is there pc port for this?
What do you mean PC port?
There is no Aux-in port. Anker, in their infinite wisdom, deleted it on this version. Buy the Flair 1 if you need an Aux port.
o hello again all have this anker speakers.
Can it work in the shower
Yes
to be honest these royalty free songs are crap, no vocals only dum dum pss pss, no real music
nice job with the review btw.
