Welsh corgi Coco needs to own everything. Once obsessed with one item, Coco guards it for ages and if anyone tries to take it away, then... snaps and eventually... bites! The family has already got bitten so many times it's getting out of control. What's causing this fella to be possessive over things? What's really going on?

I’m so relieved that the family finally noticed how they need to treat Coco.
So the plain solution there was to just ignore the dog and leave him alone. The more they give attention to him while he obsesses over something, the more he'll keep doing it.

This corgi has a toasted bread butt. The guardians didn’t understand that Coco is going through puberty and rebelling. Always a reason why dogs behave the way they do.

As much as I love these videos, they’re making me hesitant to get a dog. I can never predict the problems/solutions that this guy comes up with. It makes me feel like I would accidentally screw up and not know how to fix it.
Anyone taking on a dog should do their research. Adopt don’t buy and the rescue organisation will support you. So many people take in a dog or cat to meet a need in them. Possessive behaviour like this usually has its roots in the owners not the dog. Mostly from treating them as another human rather than a dog or not training and socialising when young.
Don't think like that. Adopt a dog. These are professionals making a video. If you adopt,then your on to it. Your giving a furry friend Love and a home. And you don't need professional help to Love do you? Good luck 🤞❤️❤️❤️

@@Wendy-cj5yz je n’ai jamais réussi à socialiser mon chien , il s’est fait attaquer par un Rottweiler à 1 an, depuis il a tendance à attaquer tous les chien, j’ai un Teckel nain, il se calme avec l’âge et mes soucis de santé car il est très attaché à moi et c’est réciproque. Mais si il tombe sur des chiens calmes qui ne sont pas agressif il arrive à avoir 3 ou 4 camarades. Même avec les femelles c’est compliqué ! Mais pas de problèmes avec les chats, il a grandit et joué avec une chatte que nous avons hélas perdue il y a 1an. Depuis il s’ennuie un peu, ma santé ne m’autorise plus à en avoir, ou ça deviendrait compliqué puis il faudrait un chat adulte, à 11ans il commence à manquer d’énergie car on ne bouge plus beaucoup. 😞mais vous avez raison, quelque soit le pays, il faut adopter dans les refuges, les animaux sont reconnaissants en pus! Éduquer un chien, c’est comme élever un enfant : il faut de l’amour, de la fermeté et savoir ce qu’on attend de lui... Des réactions comme Coco ça n’est pas tous les jours qu’on en voit. That’s a spoiled dog.The owners are empowering the dog’s behaviour.
It’s so easy to get angry with the Dog - and I get it, I wouldn’t put up with it forever either - but rest assured, this type of behaviour is usually human-caused, either by inadequate training of the Dog, or sometimes Dogs (and even Cats) that leave their litters too early also have problems socialising.
They shouldn’t leave their litter’s until they’re around 9 weeks old as they learn a lot from their litter mates and it’s an important time for socialising them.
So yeah, it’s usually human-caused.

My sis dog also has this problem, she's always cool and cute in usual days but when it come to her food, she'll get aggressive showing her teeth like this dog do 😑
It is very important to let dogs know that YOU are the leader of the pack not them. It means disciplining them and correcting them when they are young. And like small children you have to say, "No" and it is constant repetition. But you also have to remember they are dogs and let them be dogs. I never forced my dogs to learn more than the basic commands. And they knew right from wrong by the tone in your voice. As they get older you never ever have to correct them.
This case is unique. However I feel they never established who was the leader of the pack was in their house. A stern no would have fixed the problem the first time.
But in all it is so wonderful to see people loving their dogs.

This guy getting angry and aggressive with the dog is not helping. His energy is high and making the dog worse. Being ‘the man’ to a dog is pointless. So many dogs are possessive and end up in rescues. All because they haven’t been trained and socialised as puppies. Really sad as I bet many are put down as a result.

The way we treat them, that is the way they behave. If you try to overpower them, discipline them or behave strictly with them, they always backfire. Let them be as they are, they will love you back. This applies to both cats and dogs

It's kinda hard to say that Coco is like the top corgi in this house, thinking he owns everything! If you literally try to take anything away from Coco, he will say "MINE" and then he will snap and growl at you without no hesitation!

Humans need to take dog language. Just skip all the first month basic barking, just learn how to say, " Come out here, I got a treat for you". Then close the door and bark back.
