Hi Sir my son has got 68 marks in JEE advance and being OBC we can expect a seat in low IITs and that too in Metallurgical or lower branches. And based on his BITSAT session 1 score he might get ECE in BITS Hyderabad and he is preparing seriously for session 2 and he is preferring BITS over low IITs whereas as parents our opinion is to prefer low IITs since the people who study along and environment will be different and he feels like we are forcing him to take low IIT which is not a fact. So I need your advise, what would you suggest in such situation, Metallurgical in low IITs or ECE in BITS. Please note that he is not particular or passionate about any branch till now. He wants to get settled quickly in career and set up things for him so that in later stages he can choose any passions he wants to pursue apart from academics. so kindly advise. To be precised his all India rank is 55045 and OBC rank is 15045. And he has got 95.37 percentile in Mains and 67 marks in advanced and approximate rank will be around 22000 I guess, being OBC can we expect any low IIT
